Hey!

Finally. My old crappy celeron PC is gone and i bought new one really cheap..
599euros for System

- Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz(Can be clocked to 3ghz easily)
- 4Gb Ram
- GeForce 8600 GT 512mt (Pretty happy about this, even it isnt so good)
- 500Gb HDD
- Wifi adapter (Even i had one well atleast now i can make Wifi for my PSP and DS While connect to wireless at some lan parties)

If you wonder how so cheap, well it dint have OS only the system, and i use linux anyways so i dont care about windows nor want any vista crap. I also got keyboard which is good thing because my old one was becoming so dusty.
Also, Quad Core is amazing.. For now im only gonna buy CPU with most Cores, the diffrence is huge! (For me atleast, i do lot of core intesive proccesses)

Intels are very overpriced, but some say it is worth it for the reliability. Others say that AMD and Intel are equal in terms of reliability, and some even say AMD is better. It's all a crazy game to play.

For the same price you could go 3.0 ghz quad core with AMD.

Decisions, decisions...

My last one was AMD, its imo really good for Clocking (Can take really much heat!) But makes noise.. And it does not last so long.

And 3ghz quad core is bit overkill, your CPU is almost always in idle with that much of power lol

It depends, my AMD processor was kinda old, but it handled 3ghz overclock really easily and could take 70c heat without damage! 80c was critical and thats amazing for old CPU, it lasted 3 years.

Oh, good. I don't plan on doing any overclocking to my 9950 black edition and I hope to have it for five or so.

My quad core AMD Phenom idles at 30c, I think, and I absolutely love it. I've had nothing but great results from it so far.

My Athlon XP 2500+ has ran at 102C solid for four years now as well as one and a half years of normality.

Still stable. Don't ask me how.

Nice! I have the Q6600 too and it is awesome. I never hit 50% CPU usage.

I've just chopped my 6600 for an i7 920. There's nothing like looking at Task Manager and seeing 8 CPU graphs!

Thanks for the marks, guys. The computer technician was an ultra intel-fanboy and scared me with some of the stuff he said.

I'm fine now, sticking with my 9950 black edition.
