So i want to get some computer headphones to replace my broken ones. I want some that are comfortable, have quite a long lead (my tower is on the floor), and that don't leak noise.

My old ones are the standard computer type, and are uncomfortable when used for extended periods. I also have some "big" headphones, but these are uncomfortable too. I'd quite like some in-ear type ones - presumably they're more comfortable, and in my experience don't leak noise as much as other types. But maybe it's just because my current headphones are cheap and nasty. Why is it that all "computer headphones" are the foam ones?

Should i get in-ear ones with an extension cable? Any help would be appreciated. If you can link me to somewhere i can buy online that would be sweet.

Sennheiser always produce a good sound. I own a pair of the PC 350, very good quality. Noise canceling also.

The only problem I have had with the headset is the microphone. I don't think my audio card is good enough to deal with it.

Hooby galooby! I checked amazon and those cost about £100. Pretty sweet, but out of my price range. I'm taking a gamble on some cheap ones on amazon that got a good review. If they turn out to be rubbish i've only lost £8.

BTW why is it that pretty much all "PC headsets" have the big outside the ear headphones? In my experience they leak a lot of noise and make ones ears sweat. Is it just that i've only ever used cheap ones?

Earbuds make my ears feel sore after extended use, and the big ones that go over the ear are just as bad like Mr Tank mentioned. I splurged and bout a pair of Bose headphones: http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/headphones/mobile_solutions/on_ear_mobile_solution/index.jsp

Audio purists criticize Bose stuff for sounding "too good", but man are they comfy on the the ear and make everything sound so nice, games sound really great too.

I'm personally a fan of those that go on ear; a decent pair sound good, are very portable and comfortable on all ears. Why on Earth can I not get a hold of them anymore?

I just ordered a pair of these, they seem to be really good quality for the price, and the cable is over 6 ft long.

I use those exact headphones at work.

My thoughts, they're uncomfy at first, but they get comfier as you wear em over a few weeks. The bass is weak, and all around, pretty poor quality sound. They're worth the price though, and they're a lot better than anything else at that price range, but they don't compare to headphones in the 40-60 range, the sweetspot for headphones, imo

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 595. Then for a microphone I use a Xbox360 wireless headset. Gets a bit uncomfortable wearing the headset and the headphones for extended periods of time, but I hardly ever use a microphone on the PC anyway.

Check out this review of the Philips SHP2500/37 on PartPicks.com. I have these headphones and they are soooo good.
