You'd leave the UK because of the internet? I've not found it to be all that bad.BTW when I first used speedtest I took a screeny and uploaded because I was unsure on how it worked...but let him show his image from speedtest if it's that important

Well, it's not the only reason, but the sluggishness, the harsh inescapable download limits, the expense, the unreliability, Phorm... there's more than crappy internet making me want to jump ship.

hmm at the moment:

However my usual:

That's part of the problem with this, it assumes that peoples internet connection is constant, which from my experience it never is.

[Edit] To add the distance to London is actually ~48 miles from here not 100.

My internet is very inconsistent but it's never lower than 13mbps. It's still usually about 28mbps. Right now it's 20 though.

Since everyone else is doing it:

Nothing amazing, as this is just the burst speed. It's supposed to always be at least 10Mb/s.

The thing is, yesterday I was getting less than 1.5mb/s, my internet is very inconsistent.

That can't be right. KB/s rather than MB/s surely? Just did a test download to compare the results and got 11kb/s. Perhaps some naughty person at TalkTalk is giving traffic to speed testing sites priority?

It's Megabits not megabytes.

By way of demonstration, he emitted a batlike squeak that was indeed bothersome.

You still haven't posted one from speedtest.net and so you're still lying in my view. It's not difficult, you're given a link by speedtest.net.
