2056 is a working title, and everything you see and read is subject to change, but these are the basics. I hope to make this a mini-game of three levels as somewhat described below.

The Story
The Teiralons arrived twenty years ago. Their knowledge and technology brought the human race back from the brink of extinction. Through population control, clean burning fuels, new food and water sources and advanced environmental manipulation we experienced peace and growth once again.

Their technology was beyond anything we could imagine, and now it was in the hands of man. I wasn't long before nations found a way to use it for gain and selfish purpose. Greed and power once again reared it's ugly head, and this new found power was more than man could control. New and more powerful weapons once again brought the earth to the edge of destruction.

Most of the planet and humans are now dead, and only a few of the Teiralons remain. Knowing they had only prolonged the inevitable, most have moved on to find other worlds they might help and have some time with. Using the new technology you've been given, you may be able to once again bring the human race back from the edge, but you must do it now, before your time facility is destroyed.

The Game
You will have to jump through time to make changes that will effect your future and the future of the planet. Guided by the facility computer, you will attempt to find the events which lead to the current problems, and change them. It's impossible to be 100% sure of the outcome of any event, but if you're too far off, you and your time facility will never have existed, and you'll wink-out of time yourself.

*Remember, everything is subject to change and any comments/suggestions are encouraged. These images are the result of working with a basic layout, and objects and textures are subject to change.

The Jump Core...

Jump Core from above...

Question: Do you think these shots are too light? The ambiance is Zero, but there are a lot of lights in the scene.

Outside the window... A view of the devastated planet.

Power Control room...

There will be two control rooms. One where you must start the jump generators and the other where you select one of several jump locations to go. The normal crew is gone, and you'll have to run things yourself. You will need to go over the jump scenarios and decide where to start. Changing events in the wrong sequence could result in disaster!

More to come... Once I get the second control room setup I will start working on some custom entities and textures.

Best.

nice pics and great work on the story,

one critic on the third pic: I would suggest to increase the quality of the skybox texture: then it looks more real...

To answer your question xplosys, the lighting is perfect, not too light or too dark so don't change it. Good story line and nicer pics. keep it up!

Nice work, this looks really good. Just a couple of questions:
1)How much custom made media is there in-game?
2)How long did this take you to make so far?

Best,

Thanks. I'll leave it alone for now.

1)I would say about 10% custom media (by others) in these shots, but I have not started to insert mine yet. I am currently reworking some default sounds and huds.
2)This layout took about four hours to put together and arrange.

Thanks all.

Best.

Looks really good, and actually interesting for a sci-fi game.I also really like the lighting. As Tim and Eric would say, "Great Job!!"

Very interesting storyline, and the level design is top notch! I might darken the lighting a TINY bit, but overall it looks just awesome. Maybe the lights could dim and flicker when you're about to time warp.

Looks really amazing! Only critism I can say is that in the first sceenshot, the scene looks slightly empty. Other than that, very nice work!

Thanks for the comments. I got slow for a couple of days and decided to start this, thinking I would have a little more time, but I've got busy again. I'm not complaining. I can sure use the work.

I have some (what I think are) interesting ideas for this and I'll continue to work it when I can. It may be slow but I'll post more when I can. Thanks again.

Best.

Looks great, but to answer your question I think its a little over lit. But personally I like dark games!
