Hi all,

I'm trying out an experiment. I will be writing out a whole stack of post-it notes with inspirational quotes/messages/uplifting words and on the bottom of all of them I'll leave an e-mail address: [email protected], with the words "Want to talk?" or "Need to talk?" or "How did this make you feel?" on the bottom of them, and leaving them all around town in various places.

An example of one I just left:

"The power of imagination
makes us infinite."
Imagine today.

[email protected]
What did you imagine?

I want to see how many people will respond. It would be of great help if you could all write something like that on the bottom of some post-it notes with that message and e-mail and leave them around your city. The e-mail is, again, [email protected]

Thanks!

I don't think there's a "point": he's not trying to prove anything. He's just curious, and I think it's an interesting idea.

I can see where it would be good advertising for a website, but for email it seems it would just be a spam catcher. Curious people may visit a site to see what's there, but I don't think you'll get many people who will take the time to send an email telling you how they feel. But what do I know?

I like the post-it thing as a form of advertising and making people curious though. Interesting indeed. Keep us informed.

Best.

Yea, I've been thinking about maybe turning it into a website instead... However I'm still trying to flesh out what I'd want the website to be.

Essentially the only point is to leave post-it note messages to uplift and inspire people who might be having a bad day, and to get their responses.
