Some of you may remember me as Kingy from the old days of DarkBasic and my game Freeform. Well, by popular demand, we are going to develop a sequal.

If you enjoyed Freeform, or the old classic Elite, you will love what we are going to do with the new version!

My web site is at www.spectre-software.com , if you have a request for anything you would like to see in the game then please post it up on the web site, or anything else to say for that matter!

Yes, this is actually our third week of development. We dont have to do everything from scratch, we can pilfer the odd code snippet and some of the media from the first game to give us a head start!

Nice, can you buy lots of ships? I loved that part, starting with a really poor ship fighting your way up, trading like a nutter getting to a huge cargo fighting machine sweeeet . Can you tell I like elite.

I think ive said it before, but did you know the original elite game was just 20k, you try and get lower than that in dbpro

lol @ 20k

You will be able to buy 10 other ships, unless we add any more. The classes of ships include Traders, Fighters and Bombers. There will be many options to play with - more than ever before... for example, there are 14 different types of laser you can outfit your ship with!

freeform is a nice game. though, i kind of cheated by a little bug that was in the game. that is, when i buy a ship, i get a free weapon. then i sell my weapon and buy the same ship for the same price and got the weapon again. i kept doing this for upto 30 times when i could buy a better ship and all the good stuff. but the game got really slow and crashed. please look in your next game and fix it so the game runs smoothly at all times and fix the cheating bug.the game was so good that it is worth buying it. good work.

Thanks for the comments!

We are working long and hard to ensure that the sequal will be bug free. We are planning on having a number of open betas for everyone to participate in, over the period of at least a month, to help hunt those bugs down... Quality assurance is on the agenda!
