Hey, i just got an ATI card and found that promo for ATI users which gives the hl2 death match for free, now i get to the very end of loading a map, and the .exe crashes, however the other file i got with it (lost coast) works fine, any ideas?

Have you tried verifying the cache integrity? That's worked for me before. Does this happen for every map?
