Looks okay, but that yellow light looks horrid. Change it to a more orangish-yellow to match the light.

hey just some advice i would change the Ambience lighting in build game then have a light high in the air(for outdoor levels) this light color will work good "0890df" put that about 3 levels above the level and have the light range maybe like 1000 just play around with it.

That will look kinda like a sun and it will cast shadows and everything instead of just have it really boring looking.

then theres NO pure yellow or white like for the yellow like try
"0b668d" or "07529e" these will work really good and look nice. Remember to lower the ambience not very low but pretty low. This will really make your levels look more detailed and look more real.

The levels look amazing so just make those changes and it will look sweet.

And you can find some really nice light codes in COZ lighting tutorial check it out

In that one jail scene, change the bars to static mode and you'll save fps and get some sweet shadows from it too.

@dar13: thanks, theyre already static but theres no shadows yet cuz the light quality is way down so it'll load faster

Try using a huge light to act as a sun for your level. And try a less bland sky box. There are wide selections at fps files, and other websites. Have you thought of using less cartoony media? The game overall looks pretty good. Just a few changes.......

No no no, that completely defeats the point of the "sun". You need to use one light, else the effect will not work as you'll get wonky shadows or none at all. The whole point of using one light is that you get natural shadows over the landscape. You just need to increase the scale depending on the level size.

@General Jackson

I tried to edit your g3 just really weird for me and i tried making my own in milkshape and then when i excluded i didnt have an inside to the gun lol i just had like an outline i was tracing a picture of a g3 so i dont know i normal dont do weapons. sorry and if anyone could help me with fixing that and filling in the whole thing that would be great

Looks cool, but your light colour doesn't look correctly with the dull, rainy skybox. Would look cool with a sunset skybox, but you want rain so I'd go with altering the colour.

Also, does the rain stop when you're in the tunnel?

I think the skybox matches well.

Keep it.

Only con, the trees\plants dont look right. They are all flat.

Also, do you know of another rainy skybox hockeykid?

check out the store i think they might have some. It looks really good. maybe try this "3f3f3f" for the light that you have over the whole level it will make it feel like its stormy out it might look good it might not just play around with the settings a little to get it right. good job though looks good

Looks nice.
You are making progress for sure.
It's hard to please others, but make sure you have fun because thats what creating games is all about, fun.

Ah, the curse of a great imagination.
It's easy for creative people to get side tracked and start other things before finishing the current project.
I need to get back to work on some (all) of the ones I never finished.

Good luck with this Delta Force Project.

I would help you with the graphics if you wanted. I have tons of stuff i can do. If you want i could post a screenshot when i get back home (4ish hours). I can also program in DBPro and if you want can help you with succuring some of the data for you... I have also written a program which will not run unless you have the games CD in the drive... PS I like the Delta force name...

Arenas, that'd be awesome (your talking about the no-get-into-da-files program right?)
Also, if i ever put this to cd that'd be awesome.
I like the textures myself, theyre kinda low if you mean the terrain,(400x400).

Sos the build game seems to be crashing every time it reaches waiting for threads to finish... I'll post it as soon as i get this working again...

--EDIT--

Ive found another arena i made a while back which i thought was an OK size to upload here. Its only 70 sum MB... Not that big, here it is .

I am using a similar map to this (without the house part) for a zombie mod im workig on but i got stuck a while back and dont know how to finish it.
