Just wondering, as I've been a member for 5 months now (although not very active) and am still under it... :/

Probably haven't made enough posts to get out of moderation yet, just keep browsing the forum and post some comments and it'll be gone in no time.

Post some comments i guess. I'm guessing quality counts- presumably a mod has to check you're not spamming and then OK you.

It took about a week for me, and i was commenting quite a bit. It sucks, because it can take about a day for your comments to get approved, and the thread you're replying to doesn't get bumped, and you don't appear as the "last reply", which totally sucks. It's not a permanent thing though, happily. Good luck!

We will have to approve any thread that Namida makes anyway, and we'll just delete spam. Not that I'm saying you will spam us!, it's just the way we work while vetting users.

It's a combination of time on the forum and posts created that disables the moderation - and if I recall, posts in general discussion do not count. Why not have a look through the WIP section and comment on some peoples work, same for the 2D and 3D Chat section. It's actually the best way to get to know how this place works, and get familiar with people. Constructive criticism and encouragement go a long way here.

Was just going to say that myself. Judging by the way you've asked this question, namida, you shouldn't have any problems but unfortunately the forum has to be setup the way it is because so many people don't know how things are done properly.

That's absolutely NOT the case. I for one am always approving posts whenever I come online, and sometimes there are none left to approve.

I'd say that the worst it will be is overnight (UK) and that only sometimes.

Yes, that does suck.

It certainly does. On more than one occasion recently I've tried to answer a newcomer's query, only to find that I can't read their reply which is displayed in the reported post count on the thread. That is annoying and frustrating to me and must be even more so to the newcomers concerned. Why include it in the public count if it can't be viewed? Just adds to the irritation and confusion - and hardly welcoming.

Is it possible to tweak this feature somewhat?

There is no new member status. You just have a slow internet connection.

Best.
