Wow...

I'd really like to try a demo of this game. These are some of the best screenshots I've ever seen. The atmosphere is very spooky, and some awesome level design as well. Custom media is the way to go.

This is first class all the way. If a game like Penumbra can get wide release, this sure can. It just needs a hook, some good puzzles, etc.

Do you have a concept artist? Or do you take reference pictures of actual environments? There is so much detail, and everything looks so convincing that it's hard to believe you could build a level like this by just "winging it". Awesome job!

@bond1: No, he hasn`t a concept artist. Why anyway. You can invent the concept and map it then.

@mgarand: Why not? X9 always has had better performance than X10 with efx.

I've always been impressed with the knack for aesthetics and meticulous attention to detail which I've seen on display the few times I've visited the German boards but this simply is beyond stunning... It's shockingly, hauntingly beautiful. Very well done.

Concept art for my game is always in my head. But this is seriously awesome, even if it wasn't FPSC it would be. Will this be a free game, or a commercial release?

That's some really nice work. The last couple screenshots really got to me, i instantly remembered the underground scenes from Fallout 3, and creeping around in them. Loved that style of environment and yours is coming along very nicely, best of luck with this!

Wow! Looks really great! May I ask, is the hanging body edited from the hanging bodies in MD2 Sitters? Because it looks a lot like that, but at the same time, it's much more high-poly. Looks great, whichever the case!

looks really nice

wolf@ how do you make those decals completely transparent with a gradient of transparent like that, because when i try to make light ray decals they appear solid and just tones of grey, no transparent gradient...

It's really incredible to see Getsfile newest images compared to his old stuff... in all honesty, I've never tought that he becomes this good.

Haven't you read the note?

Quote: "presenting work made by getsfile."

It's made by a member of the german community, and not by Wolf.
So, if you want to talk to the creator... you have to do it trough the german board (Getsfile's english is rusty, that's why wolf is presenting the screens, and not getsfile).

Well, I`m not the Author, but I guess I can answer you.

Keep the following points in mind:

1.Do NEVER use pure white light.

2.The Custom Media and the cold colors as the rusty walls, yellow window etc do create this athmosphere. its like you can smell the place. Do not use unmodified standart media.

3. The Fog and the plenty of details adds this touch of realism

4. The Lightdecals create a cool density and intensity (Woah, my english is wierd)

Hope this explains it.

Yeah because, you know...when I'M bored! I just quickly whip up a complete MASTERPIECE! It's just something to do

Man if I didn't notice models that I myself have for FPSC, I'd still never believe this is FPS Creator...

Amazing. As always.

Yet I wonder still, how the game is not laggy.

Yeah! For the sickening I have a constant Framerate of 40 inclueding enemys, a huge map, High Quality Lightmapping, Motion Blur, Water, Bloom and Refraction in "the Sickening"

@Aagreen: *offtopic* Just a matter of interest, I see you are working with the source engine. Do you still use the FPSCreator?

Getsfile you've really outdone yourself!
This screens are fairly more superior than any other before.

The amount of details and the overall mood is just... perfect.

This is truly amazing work! I never believed such scenes to be achievable with the FPSC engine without major speed reduction, but you've certainly proven otherwise. Great work!

I didn't mean to offend your heartfelt feelings for FPSC Wolf, but I was just saying how great his design is, and he should definitely be putting that work into a much better engine.
