Hay, just wondering, cuz' as a kid I was always terrified of animated water. I remember playing Halo 1 in the level Keyes, when you dropped into the green cooling liquid. And a recent example of Resistance 2, with the Furies in the water. Anyway, am I the only one?

Um......

Well, I'm not afraid of video game water, but I am a bit afraid of swimming in a lake. I can swim in a pool fine, but in a lake I'm a bit afraid of the fishes.

Wow...Bathing must be a pain. You should ask mamaji for help with that.

In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

Scared of water in a video game? What on earth?

Reading the thread title I was thinking of something constructive to say about getting rid of the fear of water in the real world. It turns out not to be anything sensible.

In the video game world? Embrace it, if you die, you can start again. Simple.

Yes. You are the only one that's scared of normal maps, a reflection shader and a bluish-colored material.

Nah, don't do that. It's not healthy.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I guess you just answered your own question!

I definitely am not, as I just got a job as a lifeguard. I will, however, be at a pool and possibly a river, not an ocean. I do tend to feel a little cautious at the beach, because you can't see anything below the surface. Once in Florida when I was little I got surrounded by sting rays and in my terror started running right towards them. I can't remember how I got out of that unscathed...

I can't see this going anywhere fast. Please try to be a little less graphic.
