EA introduces a brand new downloadable town from the game's official website. TheSims3.com would supposedly let players create and share movies, manage online content and purchase additional in-game content.
Wow!! Any takers?

We've already got Google Adbot for spam, no need for users who joined two days ago to do it too.

In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

TS3 is old news, but I personally cannot wait for it. Gotta upgrade my PC first.

...people actually PLAY the sims? Wow, I always thought the only reason they still made them was so that people could buy the games to use as frizbees.

Seriously, though. People really play the sims? One of the worst "Game" series I've ever seen.

If the good lord had intended us to go outside or have a social life, he wouldn't have invented the internet.

So, can't you just open your TV in real life and lay on sofa?
Why do you need to do this in GAME!?

I can't torture people (Pool without a ladder FTW!) in real life, so I was doing it in The Sims...

Provided you have all the add-on packs the sims 2 can be very enjoyable. Turning your house into a business, Going for a drive, Throwing snowballs then going on holiday. A very good casual game, Good for those quiet Sundays.

It's fun to build houses on the game. Although I find no entertainment in telling people to use the restroom.

I played the Sims 1 to death. But...

Yeah, I'm sure people are gonna be lining up around the block for that. I have too much money to spend in the real world, I will spend it on virtual things for my sims.

Yes sir, because what i can do in the real life i can do in a game, is so appealing to me, go to work, sleep, do things to the wife *wink* sleep, go to work, sleep....etc....

Sims is basically a 10th generation copy of LCP, I was fascinated by LCP as a kid...

LCP (Little Computer People)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8JaHD16lPI

Imagine if the programmer of LCP told us that the little guy can have a new couch, but it will cost us £2.00! - we're talking about the 80's here, so he'd probably get a slit face.

The worrying thing is that so many people play the sims and will happily be financially raped - hell if the Crazy Frog can make millions by annoying people then EA can make millions by selling stuff to help people annoy their annoying little virtual family.

Little Computer People has the exact same charm as the Sims, although I never cared much for the Sims, I cared for that sad little dude, and his dog. Watch the video, and maybe read the text at the top if your not easily offended - it pretty much sums up the whole LCP experience, trying to communicate with a virtual person who has a seemingly belligerent attitude towards you. But it's enough to just keep an eye on him, he isn't trying to sell you anything. I wonder if some people might see their little avatars differently once they start working for the man.

Wow, Van. I remember that game, played it like crazy. For me Sims does not have the same charm.
