kitty101@ that comment isn't in any way constructive you should rephrase that comment e.g. i feel that the lighting could be improved mabey try incresing the lightmap qaulity in your setup.ini or place less dynamic entities to achieve a more, realistic look but overall i think it looks pretty good

Yeah, I already tried, but vista wont let me. Do you know any way to change that.

Quote: "place less dynamic entities to achieve a more, realistic look"

Yes, I know I should. The last screenie was from the first level. Back then I tought, that dynamic entities, were better. But the computer for somereason saved over it, when I saved it. I will completely re do it.

metal Devil123@ aha i had this problem where only the segments are properly lightmapped yes, whenever you change the setup option it reverts to the low qaulity it was at yes, you have to download the latest update to be able to change the setup.ini

I have the latest upgrade, but vista just says that, I can't save it. In XP, this was no problem, but I have vista... It just wont let me. Is that just somekind of a security setting? Can it be changed?

EDIT* I'm, uploading a demo in Media Fire at the moment. The last demo sucked horribly. This doesen't suck that bad, but isn't a masterpiece yet. DON'T JUDGE THE GAME FROM THE DEMO!

EDIT* EDIT* The demo is out now! Mutch better than the 1st one! Link:

Well, my results were no different. I don't know the reason.

But here's a screenie. Just to make this post have a meaning:

EDIT* I have new screenie uo and a new demo... How can I get more attention?

Okay I tested the new demo and here's my review:

The first level was pretty good, but it was a bit empty and blocky, if you know what I mean. The thing that you had to break the small tree to get to the shed was a nice touch, though why the heck you can go to the second floor, while there isn't anything there? Also, the first level and the second level had a weird skybox bug (see attachment).
The old man with the gun was unrealistically tough. I had to shoot him 4 times with Desert Eagle. I'm not sure, but as far as I know about guns, Desert Eagle is able to rip off your arm not to mention your head with one shot.

The second level was not as good as the first, because it had two major things: The infernal sound of the fire (it was LOUD) and the framerate was pretty low (19-21), in fact, it was pretty good considering it was a large open space. I bet you could get the framerate better by removing some of the fire decals. (or using a performance mod.) I also liked the weird lava thing in the middle of the level. Btw, how did you get a hitting animation to the monster in my attachment?

The menus were okay, but the main menu's music was just.. weird. You also forgot to remove the large LOADING banner from the middle of the screen in level 2 loading screen.

Overall, I have to be honest that for some reason, I liked the first demo more. Don't know why.

Here's a little pros and cons list:

+ The levels were large and pretty fun to play
+ Good amount of ammo and enemies
+ Small loading times
+ Pretty good framerate

- The world was blocky
- Skybox bug
- At some points unrealistic enemy toughness
- Loud fire sound in level 2

My overall score would be: 6/10

With a little more polishing, and maybe more entities, this could be not just nice, but an awesome game.

Oh my god! I don't know what's with the skybox. I'll try to look if there is any solutions to that. And yes, I just put some new entities in the first level, before this day.

And I'm removing the fire sounds. The sombie is from seqoia games website. And you can use the script that comes with that.

Maby I should make the old guy weaker. I tought that it would be stronger at first, cuz it's kinda "boss" like character. But, I'll make it weaker. But I will maby buplish this prologue kinda thing. It's inside the mansion that you are standing in front of in the first level.

So, I try to fix all those things that you said about.

Great game so far! The game looks great as well. However, I am concerned with the story. Considering your end-user, and placing yourself in that position, I would like to ask this: Why are they creatures escaping from hell? They must certainly have a reason. Even a simple explanation would be okay. In addition, how could these creatures make people go crazy? Even with that question in mind you could still use another simple explanation.

Well, the explanation to that they're making people crazy, is becouse people are scared of them. So they join these creatures.

And I will think of some wise explanation to why are thay coming from there...

In the meanwile: SCREENIES!

This is from the trainkindathing crash.

"I have this weird feeling that spiders have been in here."

So the creatures come out becouse they want to. They felt like locked in when they were in hell... So now they just feel free for getting to the earth. And becouse they blame god, they start wrecking gods creations... Human, animals etc.

Ok, I played your demo, I belive it was your newer one, and you have some work.

Pros: nice concept and design
I guess that's it for pros

Consic:amiga] no skybank, make sure when editing that you do not make a space in the script, otherwise, like your skybank it won't work

framerate, some times your framerate was 4-5 frames in the second level

loading screens, when making loading or title screens always check you spelling, unless you are doing it on purpose. enven I make mistakes. Also if your loading screen already has "loading" on it, there is no need for the default loading to show over your screen that you want the player to read for the next level.
I hope this helps you and doesn't hinder you. Keep up the work and I look forward to seeing more.

NEW SCREENIES!

This time there's pretty mutch of 'em:

Shot from the city...

Another From The city

This is from a facility in a jungle. It uses mainly stock, I know.

I like this screen. Also from the jungle chapter. Not in facility tho!

The same place

A creepy forest... BOO! AAH! You got scared. I know you did, don't try to argue. It's not that imberessing! C'mon! Admit it!

Can you quess?

A little bunker in the middle of the street. There used to be turrets on the sides, but I destroyed them. Woudn't got a picture if I didn't.

Another city screenie. Can you quess what happened to the tank?

So that's it for screenies. But something more serious... Can someone say, if someone knows how to fix thst skybox? See the image that juzi attached.

Caboose was allowed to drive the tank

On a serious note, nice screenshots, as for the skybox, make sure the skybox file is in fact included in the final build, FPSC likes to be sneaky and sometimes not copy files over.

One more thing, that car in the 2nd shot looks familiar to me

I wanted to put screenies with this post. But pecouse ImageShack is down for now, I will attach screenies.

Well, from the beginning till the end, the screens are getting better and better. Keep em coming!

Just a little Tipp: Do not just start from Scratch, visualize the Level in your imagination first and then try to map it.

Thank you Wolf. It's nice to get some c&c from someone so awesome map designer! I do get some level ideas when I watch a movie or I go to sleep I'm like: "Hey! That could work! I might try it on that level, cuz I'm thinking that it may work!"

And, hey! I attached a screen of game over screen. I like it myself. You?

Thank you! I am uploading Images as I'm writing!

(little later...)

HERE THEY ARE!

Poor guy...

The world was a little blocky, so I made some trash piles here and there... And, as you can see, the skybox is fixed!

Pipes... What else can I say? Pipes...

If you hate vents as mutch as I do, then sorry... But this vent was just a couple of segments long. Damn I hate vents! Have-to-do-vent part in here...

Hmm... This part is from the new level 18! It's an outdoor level. There is just a platform on top of you.

This isn't from the outside. But in the same level.

Another shot from the screepy BOO! forest BOO!

Corpses. Hmm... Spiderweb. Victims. Spiderwebvictimcorpses.

HELL!

That's all...

No feedback? The game is progressing well and I'm doing some hud requests on the models and media. But I'm having a lack of feedback on both threads... After I porst about 7 screenies I get 1 or less comments... If I'm lucky, then 3. Well, I will have a screenie on this post too.

Ps. You can go and request on My Huds thread, for me to make you a hud!

Zombie on a bridge... 3rd level. I did redo this level too, becouse the last one always gave me an error. And that's might be a good thing too! This level I like better!

A collapsed bridge. Yes I know there's a little lag, but it's not so noticeable afterall!

Please give me feedback and visit My Huds at models and media! You can request for me making a hud for you!
