So I just recently had a massive amount of spare time, and I got into recording random sounds and stuff. Because that's what computer geeks do in their spare time, right?

I don't want to just post random sounds that no one might ever use, so I'd like to do some requests. If you need a sound, just post! Just try to keep the requests somewhat normal, I don't really feel like doing war crys and scaring the neighbors .

All sounds in this thread will be free for commercial and noncommercial use by anyone and everyone. I will post links to them all in this first post.

(5/8/09):
- Water loop with example code.
(5/14/09):
- Some reload and mechanical sounds.
(6/6/09):
- Several clicks, clunks, and squeaks, along with two electic spark sounds recorded with my trusty Tesla lightning generator.
(6/29/09)
- A variety of bubbling sounds.
(8/8/09)
- A collection of card game sounds.
(8/10/09)
- A set of metallic impact sounds.
(10/29/09)
- A set of clock sounds (ticking and winding).

To start it off, here is a loop of a kitchen sink running, with start and ending, along with DBP code showing how to use it.

When the spacebar is first pressed, it plays the WaterStart sound. When the WaterStart sound finishes, it starts looping the WaterLoop sound. When the spacebar is released, it stops both those sounds and plays the WaterEnd sound.

You can open the .DBA file in Notepad if you want to check it out more, it's fairly easy to understand.

Sure, I'll have a go at that. What kind of reloading sound do you need?

Okay, here are some reload sounds. I'm having some trouble getting the explosions to sound right, so don't hold your breath for them

Bumping this a bit with this simple pack (see first post for description).

I still have my eye on trying some explosions, as I've been wanting some good-quality, royalty-free ones for a while. It's going to take a lot of editing and tweaking I think, though.

Any chance that you could make a metal bounce sound? It's for a breakout type of game I'm making
