The title pretty much asks the whole question. Killing Floor came out on thursday, and it looks awesome. Like a lesser but different version of L4D.

Also, to sort of relate it to game dev, it says that it has slow mo death scenes, IN multiplayer?! That means that everyone else has to slow down too right? Or did they find some revolutionary way to doing slow motion in online games?

EDIT: oh, it slows it down for everyone.

I've been playing it for a while now, I really like it. It's better than L4D in many ways.

I dont know if Ill be able to stand the voice acting, but thats about the only thing Im worried about. It looks really fun, just not as hectic as L4D.

Checked out some reviews. Looks ok, but a bit mindless. I'm still waiting for a good survival horror, with more to it than just waves of zombies. A bit more roleplaying would be good.

Don't judge the voice acting on the gameplay vids ^^ The sound quality it was recorded with sucks. It really is a lot better when you play it yourself.

Well I don't know if the few of the features in it will justify it fully, but it does have a few rpg elements to it. Like the perk system, which is like classes. Then you also have weight to think about in your inventory (what you wanna carry around for the next wave, and what you'll have to do without), and then the simple money system where you earn money per speciment you kill, and then you can give money to other players if they're short etc. Does bring in more teamplay to it.

I've got it and I've been enjoying it quite a bit. Sadly I don't know enough people who have it so it gets difficult when trying to arrange a match with friends.

I too would like to see some more aspects to it though - of course, they released an SDK which I hear can make full-blown mods, so it wouldn't surprise me if someone is already working away at a more expansive game-mode for it.

I just picked it up, and played 1 round through all by my lonesome. Very fun. I dont like those invisable guys though
I had a lot a blast just playing it by myself, so Im guessing that an online session would be terrific.

Looks good, but from the screenies the weapons are too much right in your face, 75% of the screens are destroyed by the blemish that is the weapons, okay, we know their there, but there not right next to your eyes are they?

hm? The weapons aren't a problem at all, just like any other FPS really. You might be referring to pictures where players have zoomed in on their ironsights? The game don't use crosshairs, so if you really have to aim, it's done through the ironsights

Played it, I still cannot believe it's the Unreal2.5 engine that's been edited heavily... :o
