I just tried it right now... and tbh, I couldn't get it to answer a single question I was interested in .

Seems like a good idea, and it's pretty impressive so far. They'll have to come up with a more memorable and simpler name and website if they expect it to achieve any kind of popularity though (ie: Google).

Google already does this more or less, if I ever need a question answered I just type it into google and it comes up with a page containing an answer (most of the time).

All it does is pull up random facts about dates, times, people and compute math problems and stuff? I've searched for a few things now only to have it tell me "Wolfram|Alpha isn't sure what to do with your input", yet google gives me some relevant results so either I'm doing something totally wrong or I don't really see the point of this.

Its a cool idea, but you can get the same thing from a search engine.

El Goorf - I've removed your avatar. 2047KB is a little large really.

Back on topic,
I think the search engine is fantastic. I don't know about you, but I have never seen Google come close to something like this:

http://www80.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=Airfoil

Also try type in a 2-variable function:

x^2+y^2

for my hopefully amusing review. I'll have to add a bit now I've discovered the airfoil function though, that's just awesome.

Yknow that algebra problem i was stuck on a while ago?
ay^2+xy=b and cx^2+xy=d?
I put that into mathway, and got every possible solution in about half a second...
