Hi all, so I'm studying now and one of the assignments is to build a small functional website. I won't go into the particulars, but what I need is basically opinions on the design.
I will be using this after the assignment for my personal website, so I want to get it 'right.'

I'm using CSS and it's validating to HTML 4.01 Transitional.


Please let rip! I want you to tell me what your honest thoughts are. But if your going to criticize it harshly then I only ask you show me some of your work so I can trust you

EDIT: Think I should add that after the assignment I'm thinking of adding a blog type app like wordpress to make it easier to publish new posts.

I like it, but my suggestions are as follows:

1. Try to possibly add a border or something feel like there is to much white.

2. Change the font or maybe add a background it seems to be all fancy and graphic then it goes to Office 2007 font.

3. Center the titles.

4. that logo it HUGE! I mean wow! I think we know your name now just shrink it down a bit.

A border different to the subtle orange bar I've got?

Lol I actually selected the font cause I liked it, but I see your point about the change. Any suggestions?

I should have mentioned, it's a screen shot and I didn't cut it straight! So it is centered on the web-page!

Third click option is what? hard to read quickly, got it in the end but should not have to work it out.

Is the image clip the main page or one of the other pages?
if its another page a small hint that where in another section.

Remove the bit about how it was lost we don't need to know about your fails.

plus I don't think blue text will be easy to read on old raster scan monitors.

Not exactly sure about that one.

Hey I only need tips on the design, not the content! lol

Really? I did have an orange text (Yeah I hear the vomiting) but that was painful on the eyes so I thought blue was a little better! Black is to dull lol.

A dark blue would be fine.

An alternative to bordering the lower area would be to put in a 'page', give it a subtly different background colour. Or you can swap that around and make it white with the outer background a different colour.

It looks plain, maybe you should consider getting creative with the navigation to spice it up?

First post updated, I've hosted the website on a temporary free host to test it (Browser compatibility) so people can check it out now and get a better look.

I need to reduce the image sizes a bit there too big and it take a while to load. Currently my largest pages is 180KB! The buttons haven't been updated yet, I've got lighter, easier to read buttons coming.

Any more criticism please, help me make this better!

I have one slight bug, shrink the browser window, notice my blue background around the logo doesn't flow very well!

It doesn't look right at any resolution here. The blue space doesn't flow at all.
