I think i got it from deviant art, i forget what its actually called or the creator but its under "B-2" in my themes section. I like it because its simple and out of the way.

I've mentioned it in all of the other threads, but video wallpapers are pointless, how long do you really spend staring at your wallpaper? If you do then that's an annoying way to procrastinate from projects and a nice way to sap system power.

I like looking at my wall paper while the computer loads. Other than that though, the screen is pretty much filled with applications running and I don't look at it. 'Cause I can't.

The thing is that mine is script, that starts when my system is idle certain time at desktop. Then it fades off when i go back to work. And i have quad core so it does not take about any computing power Its something to "show off".

Intel Q6600 clocked at 3.2ghz, Quad core stands for four cores. Will become useful when multithreading becomes mainstream.

toasty - Search DeviantART for "flux". That's where I got it. I love it - very nice and semi-minimalistic.

Well, I switched to vista with my new computer... It's not all that bad, except for a few annoying things with explorer... UAC was easy to turn off.

@Agent Dink: Your wall paper is freaking awesome, Demon Hunter ftw!

I'm not going to put my wallpaper up directly, since it's a little big. It's a homemade creation using the Alchemy alpha and Paint.net. There's a few things I want to get rid of and I'm thinking about making a new background pretty soon. I'll just have to see if I have the time.

LOL, it's funny seeing my stuff on other people's desktops

You really don't want to see my desktop...
It's 1152x864, and the icons almost fill it...
Oh yeah, my "start menu->All programs" fills the entire screen too! (And windows is so badly designed that there is actually no way to scroll past the end, so all the stuff after a point is completely inaccessible from the start menu...

@Nex
That just puts them all in one gigantic column It takes 5 minutes just to scroll to the bottom. At least with it off I can see most of them on the screen.

VirtualBox is amazing, If you replace the DirectX with Wine wrapper (Wined3d OpenGL Translator) you can quite many games. I play MapleStory trough Virtual Machine because it uses the malware called GameGuard Rootkit that Wine can't run because it needs Kernel level. Wine is never gonna be whole NT Kernel. It also runs some 3d games pretty good (Gunz)

You would lose any advantages of the particular processor being used, however (Virtualisation improvements etc.)
