Hey Everyone,

I just finished the Run For Your Life Vista Version of my "virtual art show walk-through" experience.

YouTube video preview can be seen at -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvEuULGesZQ

There are 2 versions of the game.
I set it up first with using FPS Creator (X9).
It is available for free as a download at

http://darkvomit.com/runforyourlife/index.html

The following are screen shots of the FPS Creator (X10) version.

I beyond freakin' love the water level update with the X10 version.
Makes very cool glossy floors!

Anyhow...
Let me know what you think.

Take care,
Kelly

HOLY... That looks awesome!
Too bad I don't have X10 or I would be one of the first to get the demo if it's released.

Hi Nike,

I love it!

You are from Finland?

Please tell me all about United States Copyright law...
I would love to hear your definition.

Seriolusly.

If an artists paints a painting of a parody.
Much like a cartoonist does a caracsature on a celebrity...

example...
How many celebrities has the cartoon South Park ripped?

I love South Park.

But what you are proving that there is a double standard.

I paint because I want people to look at life at a different angle and perspective.
Whether I choose to paint a fast food clown riding a cow that he is going to slaughter and then make fun and games out of it with his happy meal and serve it to kids.
I think there is something wrong with that.
That painting is called "Follow Me Kids!"

...and has been published 3 times.
Once on the cover of San Diego City Beat Newspaper.

If it got a rise out of you enought that you feel that I am in violation of copyright laws ( enough to make a comment. )

Well... the video is working and the art is going in the exact direction I want it to.

Make a rise!
Make a stink!

Then even more people will notice.

I swear that I have seen that fish head painting before, but I don't know where. Was it published before?

Anyway, great work!

Great work! Those paintings look very professional which I assume you are!! (though on a side note I doubt McDonald's uses actual meat It's disgusting!!!)

Look for me on CoD4 online for PC. My username's Arbiquator (strange I know but it's the first thing that came to mind)

Hey!
Thanks for the comments.
I have recieved some interesting reviews via other blogs that have helped promote the video game...
(More like just an interactive art show... not much to the actual game... although I don't know anything better to call it to get peoples attention of what it is.)
Anyhow...
I feel like a jerk earlier... on Nike.
I'm sorry.
It seems these days I am spending more time defending than entertaining... My defenses are up.

Some of the biggest complaints I have recieved on the game is the time it takes to load.
I used Magic FPS 2 to import boxes that are shaped to create the walls. Spending the time in photoshop setting them in the correct positions I wanted.
I am sure there must be a better method to this... in which the file size would not be so large.
I tweaked out the sizes of the .jpeg images I imported to go as low as possible without losing too much detail.

Also... on the Windows XP ( X9 Version... )... I've got reports that one of the enemies is pushing the player through a wall...
arrghhh.

I have art shows to prepare for right now... but I am defintely going to update the build and make a few changes when I have more time.

Thank you for all the kind comments.

The fishhead painting... That was my main logo when I ran a small art gallery in San Diego called the "Fish out of Water Gallery"... A couple of years ago. We did what we could to make web presence with what me and my wife had... perhaps it has been seen through a past promotion? I have seen several different versions of this painting from a few different artists... as well...

MetalDevil123...
I very much like "Rolf for your life"... ha!
If I could do it all over again... I would have named it that.
( makes more sense. )

Egad.
I'm with ya on the McDonalds thing.
What in the heck are they made of...?
I don't eat there no more...
If I want a burger... there is GREAT vegeterian substitutes on the market that taste much better than the beef... ( and won't give you horrible stomach aches afterwards. )

Although... to date...
It is on record that McDonalds IS the largest buyer of beef in the United States.

--------------
It makes me happy when people connect to the artwork. Rather it is a conversation starter... or just to get people to think. That makes me happy more than anything.

Looks very cool. I'm downloading the x9 demo now because I want to check out your paintings.

In the U.S. parody/social commentary is protected... as it should be. Of course, slander is not protected but fine art is meant to push boundaries and make people think about something other than if it matches the sofa.

I'm on vacation at the moment so I won't be able to try it for a while...
If I understand correctly this is a virtual art show?
Personally I think that's great creative way to use X9/X10, most people wouldn't think to use it that way.

A picture says a thousand words.
