Jurassic Park easily, i remember the first time the music played when i first watched the film. Brilliance.
Other than the obvious game ones, none really stick out in my mind right now.

Oh my, too many to mention. Guess I'll just have to mention a small fraction of them which is hard as they are all brilliant, and leave out the games.

Quote: "Whats your favorite action movies and game theme tunes/soundtracks?"

Only action?

Anything from battlestar. The composer for that show is (was) the same as in the terminator series, though the terminator music didn't fancy me that much.

Delta force theme
Mortal Kombat
Natural city
Natural city - ria
Some song from a movie called shinobi that is apparently not on youtube.
Several songs from 'Gladiator'.
Time machine
James bond theme.
Titan A.E not quite paradise
The main theme for previous mentioned movie.
Doctor who (murray gold) - boe
Doctor who (murray gold) - doomsday

My favorite compositions..

First Place (Suikoden II - If you haven't heard of this game/played it, I trully hope that you check it out at some point in your life. While this game isn't sold cheap anymore [pricetag can run anywhere from $100 to $250] it is definitely worth it...): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2LONGQf-oQ

Second Place (Chrono Cross - Another classic. With its predecessor being Chrono Trigger, what can possibly go wrong with the game? I suggest you check it out too.): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMntblDX0Bg

Third Place (Final Fantasy IX - The most underrated game in the series. Seriously, have the guys that bash this RPG even played it!? Anyway, the soundtrack is amazing. Go ahead, listen. lol): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EIVzGruSeM (Well, its not exactly the version from the game, but I seem to like this one better )

Two off the top of my head:

1) The Shawshank Redemption 'Stoic' theme. The imagery of this music playing, and the buses enetering the prison stuck in my head pretty well. Great soundtrack and great film.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6XgzdN-Lik&feature=related

2) Not really a theme, but the 'Worry wait' music from WALL-E when EVE takes the plant inside of herself. Made it worth it getting the soundtrack in my opinion. Falls a bit flat without the movie footage as well, but keeping in mind what happens when the track plays, this music has a beautiful depth to it.

Interestingly these are both pieces by Thomas Newman

I agree, the intro theme is most epic of FF themes.

You know whats funny.. This! They are almost exact copy
It was removed from the finished game because they sounded same. It was replaced with this on the final release.
