Hey everyone, do you think AMD Fusion will beat the @$$ out of Intel core i7, well I don't know. It might not but might be fast and AMD said it's going to be greener. Which I think that will be true. Anyways, that's all I wanted to ask. Bye! I got to go!

I forgot to say a website 2 or 1 year ago said AMD announced they will release it in the late 2008 or the early 2009. But it's not here! Hopefully it will be released this summer or the late 2009.

AMD Fusion is dated for 2011 It's supposed to be a merger between graphics (GPU) and processor, hence the name.

Ohhhhh dear. That don't sound good. Combine BGA chips with a CPU and GPU in a single die and the pathetic cooling technologies available and we've got failures ahoy!

don't get your hopes up. techheads said that phenom would be the end of intels supremacy, but that famous cache bug caused serious problems for AMD, who wasted time fixing the bug while Intel continued to prosper..

Intel chips have had bugs too; how is your floating point logic holding up?

Nobody's perfect.

Yeah that bug is a big problem - if you're still living in 1994

I was trying to point out that no manufacturer is flawless, not that Intel chips today suffer from this problem although thanks for clarifying that. My wording does insinuate that such a problem still exists.

And when the problem *did* exist it was not really a big deal. Most, if not all, consumers never noticed anything weird.

Is it a bug when your Intel-based CPU acts all sentient and tries to kill you?

er... *closes the door to his junk closet and puts a heavy padlock on it*

Anyways, I never noticed anything with the Intel CPUs of the day. I'll probably take notice when it decides to constantly format my hard drive...

Not sure I understand that but it doesn't sound like all that fancy to me. If anything, it makes a bigger heap of silicon to get super hot, and have to cool down. I can't really see the benefit of this except perhaps reducing time between graphics and processing.
