Since I didn't really like the Jazz stuff (not my style) I'll give you opinion on the DnB pieces:
7 Bit Army: Started off really really soft, I could hear the bass/synth/whatever line but it felt much too weak. Once the drums kick in it has a lot of energy, and I like the bleepy bloopy electro sounds (forgive my limited musical vocabulary
). Having the drums trip and repeat and mix it up is also really cool, but I felt like it was a bit overused at some times, it feels like the beat is missing sometimes. Overall I liked it though, cool DnB take on the original.
Haters Want War: The intro riff was awesome, though after a while the constant humming of the distorted bass got a bit boring, it didn't have enough change in pitch IMO. I'm not a fan of the vocals, but an instrumental version with some extra melody would be great listening material.
What kind of dark DnB inspired you? Just wondering because there are a lot of shades of
dark in DnB if you know what I mean
