I couldn't figure out where else I could post this question, so forgive me if it really is in the wrong forum. I've always wondered about the games that "indy" developers sell. How are prices decided on? Or is it just some arbitrary number that's just thrown out of nowhere?

Eh, not sure. I guess the best way would be to look around at other games of that caliber and use that as a benchmark of sorts.

You would have to get the balance right, especially when selling it online: The price should be cheap enough so that people take the trouble to buy it, when otherwise they might just move on, yet expensive enough that it doesn't seem like a rubbish game, and so that you still get enough money to cover costs. If the preview video/demo is awesome, and will make people really want it, you can put a much higher price on Basically, it's the maximum that your target buyer would pay to buy the game
