Check out the draw distance in this gameplay video!

The first one is still my favourite game on the system (with Infamous a close second). Uncharted 2 looks really good

I never played the first one but Uncharted 2 does look really cool. What's the concept of those games in those games? Other than shoot stuff, climb walls like a spider-monkey and run away from helicopters.

Looks pretty good, I think Alan Wake edges it though; mainly just because it doesn't have a number in the name...

Why didn't they just double bill it again like Pirates of the Carribean?

I completely agree. Actually I never played past the first 10 minutes of Assassin's Creed, but from what I've heard you can see large parts of the city from rooftops and literally go anywhere. Sounds cool

Reminds me a bit of Infamous and Crackdown, how you can just scale the sides of buildings and take a look at the scenery from far away.

The only way you're restricted in Assassin's Creed is that certain cities and certain parts of the cities are locked because the character's memory isn't strong enough, which is their way around it. So the further you get into the game, the more you can explore and the cities are fairly large, and you've got to listen out or look out for people with information so you can get clues on how to find your next target. (though the gameplay gets repetitive after a while) But using the roof tops is very important - it wouldn't look as good if you could see very far when Altair is on top of a top and looks around hist surrounding. With AC2 I can see a need for long draw distances with the handglider.

Why don't you both not respond to the other anymore in this thread? You're getting nowhere, and no one's going to talk about the game then.

Personally I was pretty impressed by the video's. Honestly it looks kind of like a lot of other games these days in what you can do, but it seemed to do it a lot better, with very interesting enviroonments. I particularly like how things seems to break under your weight, and how just in general the world very much reacts to your presence there. If I had a PS3, this might be on my buy list.

You could have just been mature enough to handle the comment without being a complete and utter moron about it, but your call.

@Jeku- Uncharted 2 does look pretty impressive for the PS3, but I feel strongly that Vigil Games should do a good job with Darksiders because I am a religious man and I have always been fascinated with the concept of the 4 Riders of The Apocalypse. The only part I am on the fence about the game is the slaying of Angels; I dislike that type of idea. It's just the demon bosses look very authentic.

You've earned yourself a 1 week slap, David R. Feel free to complain if you think I've been an "utter moron". You could have just emailed me instead of drag this thread even more down.

There's no point keeping this thread open. Enjoy E3 guys
