Yeah thats what the game bummed me not because I much prefer running up to people and blasting their heads of but because i have dyspraxia so puzzles are quite challenging (even the most simple ones)

Does anyone have any idea how to stop dynamic entities from lighting fully like the generator in Screenshot 5? Either it goes full bright of w/e color light is near it or it has to be all black...

It's kind of annoying

Anyone have a solution?

hmmm... i started playing your deom and the moment i left the first door it froze and an error message appeared saying
"cannot read animaton at line 2001 something"

Works fine on my computer and for everyone i know that's tried it

I dunno what the problem is, when you leave the first door though, an image is supposed to appear, maybe your computer doesn't like the image resolution or something? i dunno

hmmm. an image, maybe it didn't download correctly, i'll try agin later.
but i liked the way the light is maneged when the game starts, it really gives a feel of just waking up.

I never took this as an action game! It's great! I have to say. But I don't really like vents. I never did. But it's your game. Couple of vents can't ruin my gaming experience.

Well, my game has vent too. Maby one or two, so I can't complain. But please, use them only when necessary. Cuz the game looked beutifull as long as there wasn't no vents. But it was awesome.

9.5 I didn't like vents. My only complain. Thev vent part was really long too. But it was awesome.

The Machine Creates Very Low Frequency Soundwaves which are used to process Plasma, Which is sent down to the Mining Rig and used to cut the rocks

Looks nice, it feels almost like Doom 3 and the liking. I think with other type of lighting would look even more. But it's fine the way it is.

Your recent pictures look amazing compared to much of the WIP threads.


Sorry I didn't drop in a couple months ago, I had a solution for your blue generator problem.
If you use a shader for the generator, the lighting should react much better. If the generator doesn't have a shader, then FPSC will diffuse the ENTIRE entity with the lighting color nearby. It's a framerate saver for the most part but does look hideous on large objects. So your best bet would be to use a normal map shader on it.

Usually a form of "bump" or "normal" map shader is what you'd be looking for since those are the ones that handle lighting.

For better effect, I would use one of CoZ's shaders.


Regarding the new pic, perhaps you could edit that steam decal to make it red, that way it'd fit in with the lighting there. (You could just make a new decal)

hey i DLed and tried out the game. I thought it was well done, except where the key was, having the bottomless pits in such a dark place you cannot avoid them, and having the grunge torn paper/cola machine in the room wit the robot and girl. but seriously, other than those few things - very nice.

Now that I'm using Apple Juice Mod, I am now re-working all the levels, improving detail, the architecture, lighting etc

As much work has been put into this, I believe I'm going to cancel production of this game. Many problems have been arising concerning this game. Either i will begin the game completely anew having a better base to build off of then when i started a long time ago not knowing much about FPSC, or i will begin on a new project. I've learned a lot about FPSC lately so with that in mind, the earlier levels don't look nearly as good as newer levels of this game, so instead of going back and redoing the levels which really just is not working out, I'm just putting it down Sorry to any of those interested in this
