You waited not even an hour before posting again? Be patient, it can take a while for someone to reply.

The Source SDK comes with tons of instructions. How can we help you if you don't give us more detail?

He isn't talking about modding a game, he's talking about using a mod. Just read the readme. There should be a readme. If there isn't a readme to follow or an installer, extract the contents to your desktop, look inside the folder, take out the mod folder, and put it in "Sourcemods", which is located in steamapps.

Okay, here's some stuff you should know,

First off, in the steam browser, download both Source-SDK and Source-Base,
Now with them downloaded,
Extract the *.Zip/*.Rar file of your Mod(Smod in this case), and when extracted place the files in

Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/Sourcemods

And that's the gist of it, also you'll need to restart steam too.

I don't think you need to do any of this. I certainly didn't.

You don't, just download it in steam and you're ready to go.
At least this is the legal way.

That's only for Steam Re-Distributed mods such as Dystopia.

However Steam doesn't adopt all the modifications found out there, nor do all the modifications out their have their own installers...

Other than that, if they don't have a installer and the files in the ZIP/RAR/Compressed format etc, need installing manually.

@Oolites post,
Legal way? Their aint even a Illegal way of installing mods for the Original steam to use, lol

Only if the developers are smart enough to include a *.txt... Unlike many others, but you are right...

Just go to your Task-Bar and then to your task-tray, after that right-click on the steam logo and go down to exit...

After that, go into start>All-programs>Steam>Steam.exe etc...
