is there a way to set up an object to have the texture displayed on individual faces rather than wrapped around the object as a whole?

If you make the faces out of intidividual triangles or plains as limbs, you can texture each one individually. Or you'd have to do it through using memblocks and changing the UV data.

Enjoy your day.

anyone else see latches double post?

also what I want to do is take any primitive (a sphere exactly) and a simple image (say a white box on a black background) and have it texture each face with it, is there a simple command?

If you want to just repeat the same texture, as opposed to having a different texture for each face, use the scale object texture command:

That happened in another thread not so long ago. It could be caused by a page refresh. At least, that's what somebody else said.
