I made my map into a grid pattern and then just now made a rectangle formation and all that stuff by just using data's! I think I will fix all the bugs in my RTS the rest of today to get it all nice and clean. Also, I just search the map once, then I have my units follow their each indevidual paths that were assigned.

very cool code! thanks phaelax!
i was thinking of making an RTS game, but then i figured it'd be too hard, and i should start something smaller.
This code will help me out a lot in future! Thanks!

oh and, in the code you gave us, if you press shift when you highlighted someone, he turns transparent?!

what's up with that?

I'm working on that. Movement is still a little choppy.

Does that answer your question?

Phaelax, is it possible to still obtain the base rts code?
It would really help me learn.
Can you email it to spadge@onepain.com

It's very appreciated.
thanks

I moved a lot of stuff of my server, but upload it again. You won't be able to compile it, because I haven't uploaded any of the media for it.

I don't remember which version this is.

But I believe this file includes the media as well.

Currently rewritting a lot of it to increase visual appeal. Should be ready soon, but I have several tests this week, so I may not get it up until next week. I got my java coding exam back yesterday, 100% baby! Who says the first person done can't get an A!

Yes, but I'm still tweaking it. I'll get to that after I finish the new terrain stuff. I'm a little freed up, two tests out of the way, and I gave blood inbetween classes today as well. Saturday, I'm driving to OU for a party, so we'll see how much time I have to work on this and also a possible chat program for the tutor session.
