The Theme!

Create a banner for The Game Creators newsletter that is 700 wide and up to 200 pixels high. The banner must be in JPG format, it must be submitted to the submission thread HERE and must contain the words “community competition” with nothing else. The winner receives a $20 voucher.

The Reason!

Some were not happy with the last set of voting, and we do listen! If anyone wants to see the Community Competition, voted for, and judged by the community, then take this little competition seriously. I’ll be judging how feasible it is to deploy this, or a similar system in future competitions. The more successful this competition is, the more likely I’ll consider it for full game making competitions.

The Voting!

Voting will be carried out in the voting thread. I’ll sort through all the submissions, make sure they comply with the rules, assign a number to each entry, then all you have to do is post the number you are voting for. No extra comments please. I know some people want their opinions heard, but that’s to be done in the discussion thread. I need to be able to go through all the votes easily, without confusion. It will minimise mistakes, and help me spot cheaters. You are each allowed to vote for up to three entries, but you may only vote for any one entry once. Yes, yes, I know you might REALLY LOVE a single entry and want to use your three votes on it, but you can’t. If you love it that much, just don’t vote for any others. You are also forbidden to vote for your own entry. If you do, then you risk any vote you made for any other entries, being discounted from the total.
