Hi guys, I was wanting some advice please. I have a friend who's thinking of buying Roxio Easy Media Creator 2009 (PC) . Does anyone know if this is any good?

He has a computer but no internet connection, do you need one to activate or register the item to make it work and keep it working?

Sensible answers only please!

simple answer, if you have ever use Nero to copy disc you know how unhelpful it is, like what would like to call this disc and so on.

Well Roxio just displays a message tell you are copying as disc and it might be naughty, but you can click to hide this bit, then it just gets on and does the job.

Also able to record sound and video direct to the drive to do as you wish later.

Will also let you make your own DVD's with or without menus.

Nice and simple use, but you can switch on all the bits that let you mess about with it.

Does that help.

That's very helpful, but you didn't say anything about whether an internet connection is needed at any point in the install - is it like DBPro, where you need the Internet to get and use an activation key to turn on the program?

Its does use the Internet, only to show you what happening in there world and how to do stuff, and if you want to register it.
will work without a connection.

I got mine on CD so I don't know what you might need to do if bought it online.

Key comes with it when you buy the CD/ DVD (think they do both).
