I have an update for you all. This a pic that was sent to me by CP of the textured medbay. I am making new models as Cp stated in a previous post. Also Cp and I have expanded the the game more to have the player go to hadley's hope and to the derelict. More to come, this I promise. I am putting out an sos for anyone that sounds like Burke from aliens. I have a few voices that need a good impersonation. Post a reply if you can do this. Enjoy!

Fun is what cp and I are going for, but I will challenge you to play this in the dark with the surround sound. I had some things make me jump and I know where they are. I bought new surround sound speakers and they made all the difference. I will have a bigger update this weekend.

Gears yes when you die you will hear hudson calling for you.LOL Ok, I have an update on this today. Ihave been working on a new alien with custom animations and I had to share a clear screenie. Also Cp just sent most of the textured medbay parts back and this is what it may or may not look like. It still needs work, but it's in fpsc. And the last pic is of the derelict that Cp and predhunt are working on. Enjoy!

It will be a single exe and I am planning more levels than I originally planned. Right now it is holding at about 7-8 levels. When I get to it, the cutscenes and in-game scenes will be animated. Most of the cutscenes will appear before a level load and the in-game stuff, well, that will happen in-game. You will get to see one of the marines get ripped apart and the plr will be helpless until the animation is over. There is your spoiler for the game. I have a great story, most of which is still hiding in my head. With the help of Cp, Ply, Rolfy, EAI, Small Fish and Predhunt this will be a game worth the wait.

I have finished the alien animations and I thought I would show them off. The alien now bleeds a puddle of acid almost like avp2. He can grab the plr and kill him with his mighty tongue. And with a swift strike with his tail bring the plr down a notch or two. Enjoy the screenies.

Thanks. I am trying to script that animation, but I seem to really suck at getting my animations to work in game on characters. It took me all day just to get your turret to work right. I hope it is working great for you.

I do have an update on this game and I wanted to get some screenies up here, but the models are not ready to be shown yet. I changed my Brutus character from white to black and my female charcter to asian from white as well. Brutus and the other male character, Lucas, have old but new textures fpsc from far cry. Someone this morning said something about far cry on the forum this morning and I couldn't stop playing it. I noticed that it had some pak files and saw to textures that would make the my game look better, so after about an hour of texturing a new model with the new texture, I am still not done. The female texture I am putting some time in, due to the fact my wife wanted here character to be unique, but still look like it belongs in the alien world. I am however remaking the textures from far cry to be more realistic as possible. For both gameplay and animation. Everything that I have done for the alien model, I am doing for the character models. When I have all three models done I will show them off, might be sunday night before I can do that. Small fish your character that you play I have you as a bald white guy, based off of the movie Rambo, the last one with the sas. I am real proud of the way they are turning out, but milkshape and fragmotion keep whining. Well, that's it for now.

Thanks for the praise, but All I did was texture them from models that were givin to me. The female's face is all me though, first time at making a full head map. The male's parts are a mixture of far cry and avp2 models. The skeleton going into them is stock fpsc with my own animations. I am using this as a learning experience to better my skills. I can model, texture, and other stuff, but I found out that some game companies will used an already exsisting model and change it to fit their needs. Usually they own the rights to that model or they aquire the rights to use it. In which case, I have already sent some emails out to receive permission to use these models. Like with my star trek game, I so far have received one email stating that a non profit game was exceptable, should I proceed further and try to sell this game, a cease and desist letter will be sent. I try to ask for permission before I start using the model in which case I always have a backup and the models look good, they do not look like the ones above. 90% of the models and textures are originals made by either cp or myself as in the medbay. I made the models and cp refined and textured them. The same will go for the rest of the ship.

I do have a request for a good scripter to come on board. I can really use the help. Thanks.

Dj, I will take you up on that. Can you do a character script for spawn, main, and destroy for me? Here is the sample of what I am trying to do :

I need the script to have the character appear in (anim31) then the plr gets close (anim35) and the closer the plr gets closer it uses it's tail (anim95). If the plr is within grabbing distance it freeze plr and (anim96) which uses it's tongue to kill the plr. I would like to have in this area of the script that states if anim96 happens the plr can press say (b) to block the tongue from killing the plr and forcing the alien back enough for a clear shot. Good luck with this and If you don't mine possibly tell me how you did it, so I can learn.

Sorry about the mars one project, I have the file somewhere on a disk, but alot of my stuff on filefront was deleted one day, they said they were doing a site cleanup and my files were taking up space. I don't have that problem anymore, but I bet it has something to do with the nasty email I sent them when they deleted everything. I plan on making another star trek game based on sto, but I don't know when I will make it. I have all the weapons made and animated, just wanted to make all the other models to look the same as the old show. I have been working on the mars one project, but it has been in the unity engine. And that is slow work for me. Well, time to hit the sack

unfortunately I cant seem to get out of the first room in star trek are you meant to enter a code at the power point because no code entry box is appearing also when there is a cut-scene I only get a white screen and hear the sound effects apart from that the custom models and menu are very impressive

I just took a look at my file front links and discovered all my lovecraft games have been taken off dam but fortunately I keep back ups

Small fish, yes you are meant to enter a code at the power box, the hint was the PADD on the desk talking about wolf (0359), enter this at the power box and get ready for a suprise.After the surprise the next hint is NCC (1701). Shoot around the next room for the next power box. Enter code at the power box and make your way into the bath and shoot around for the jefferies tube then you are done. When you make it through the game I have a cheat code that is reveal on the game over screen.

small fish I did not make a box for it. I made it so it looked like it wasn't coded. Just enter the numbers on the number pad to the right of your keypad. If you still can't reason with it, look in the scriptbank and you should see "wolf359" this is the code for it. Oh and you must be close to it to put in the code.

Wow Cosmic Prophet has done a phenomenal job for this project Starmind, this is coming along brilliantly! This isn't even FPSC anymore, it's gone above and beyond for sure! Really enjoying watching the progress of Alien Nostromo, keep it up man

Thanks and I have been trying to improve, but most of the credit will have to go to cosmic for his work. Without him this probably would not look like this. I just need to learn to texture and script better. Modeling is no problem for me, nor is writing a story, well cept for maybe my spelling. More is coming soon I am waiting for my three month vacation to get serious in completing this game. I could use some more people for writing scripts and even someone to help create a game specific mod. I tried last night and failed to integrate the airmod with 1.15, but I was also trying to input my stuff as well. If some one is interested in helping with this I could use the help. I don't want to bother ply and hockeykid to much with my questions.

Ok I have been getting alot of emails requesting the pulse rifle and I am here to say I do not own the rights to give it away. Also I will not be giving any of the media from my game away before my game is finished and even then I may not be able to give it away. I am part of a team and one of us holds more rights to this media than any other. I am sure that when we are done a pack will be made available for all to enjoy, but until then PLEASE stop asking. Looks excellent. Perhaps you should consider increasing the number of crew members by 1 or 2 so that you can do a classic Aliens scenario of them getting picked off one by one.

Buttmonkey when I was in the military, we used a four man team for mout. I loved that and that is why there is only four people going in. Plus I can't play with your head with to many people running around like it's a spaceport.

I have some bad news. When I checked my email today I had a letter asking for me to stop production of this game until I have been approved of this. If approved I might be heading up with this or off the grid with it. I will keep you all posted. Mods please do not lock this unless I tell you to. Thanks.

I doubt that would be possible. There is a very "Aliens" vibe to these screens and so much work has gone into making it so. I would think that if he didn't get the go ahead starmind would cancel it.
