I've been watching this show on adult-swim for a while: http://www.adultswim.com/shows/metalocalypse/indexpage.html#video and I was wondering if anybody here watches it/likes the ideas behind it. Thoughts?
btw, this video is not safe for work, and is rated tv-17, so those who chose not to view objectionable material may want to stay away.

Edit: the episodes that are up as of this time are from the 2nd quarter of the second season.

How can you go wrong with a show when one of the character's names i 'Murderface'?!?!? Great stuff. The music is pretty tight also.

It has a few humorous episodes but it's too gory for my taste.

I love that show so much.... I make love to it.

I even fail at playing the songs. That is my love manifest.

This is the part where Grandma comes in and makes some comment about American humor.

Dumbest show ever. Right next to Ed Ed and Eddy and all the other crap 'stupid humor' shows. Adults Swim only saving factor is anime.

I love Metalocalypse.

The lyrics are so stereotypical, it actually becomes funny!

My favorite lyrics are those from the songs Birthday Dethday and Castratikron.

BE ADVISED, those links have foul language and ringtone ads. You've been warned.

So many great episodes, songs, and jokes. Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle is one of my favorite songs now, just because of the irony of a song about coffee. Also, it helps that the theme song's first few bars consist of "Doodily ding dong tick tock" over and over. Also, Mark Hamill is in the show.

Metalocalypse is nothing new. The guys who make the music actually tour as metalocalypse as well, and they look nothing like you'd imagine.

Their live performances are cool. I like how the guy who does the voices does each voice as part of the stage show. He has little conversations between the characters between songs. Also, his concerts are usually pretty dark, so it isn't hard to suspend disbelief.

I liked Ed, Edd, and Eddy when I was younger. I even named my first cat Eddy, which is a bit extreme, but given my lack of creativity, that worked out.

As for metalocalypse, I don't watch that show... I don't have cable. If I had cable, I'd rather watch the Science Channel and the Discovery Channel anyways. Or look for a network that plays Frasier more often than CBS.

Of course, I do enjoy the anime on Adult Swim. I'm too old for it, but it's nice to watch. I particularly enjoyed Kikaider and FLCL. I even have a DVD of FLCL somewhere.

Cheers,

There is a link to the show in the first post. They have five full episodes which change weekly.
