#1. I like the way signatures are.  They allow us to look at the 
past to see the old signatures people used.

#2. I'm not a web developer so I had to look that up.  Wikipedia 
says that it limits the number of posts to view on a page.  If you 
click on Profile at the top of this page, select User Profile, 
then the Forum tab... scroll down a bit and put any number you 
want in "Messages Per Page" and "Threads Per Page".

#3. I would say this is good because if people really want their 
email address out there they can.  If somebody wants to send them 
a message they don't have to post it on the Darkbasic forums... 
especially if it's way off topic or personal.  If they need a 
filter between them and the other people on the internet they can 
use an alternative email address.  That's why on the user profile 
there are two email addresses "Public" and "MailBack".

#4 & #5.  I agree with these.  It's pretty annoying when you post 
a message only to see that the link didn't work or image didn't 
load properly.

#6. This to me is something that would be pointless on these 
forums.  Sorting by author would be annoying because we'd have to 
go through countless pages just to find the poster we want to 
see.  Sorting by the post count would bring up so many dead 
threads and cause utter chaos if people started posting in the 
most ancient messages on here.  Sorting by the views would cause 
some people to only read the most popular posts and ignore all the 
new posts.  I realize they can change them at any time if it was 
possible but there are some people that would only stick with one 
way of looking at the forms.

#7. I would rather click on a code snip simply because if I really 
don't want to look at it I don't have to.  If you didn't have to 
click would it be a mouseover?  How would you close it if it was a 
mouseover?  I do however agree with your last request for this 
number.  Having colored code snips would be a great addition to 
the forums.

Extras 1. I hit refresh often so I'm partially with you on that...
but I would rather have full control than anything automatic.

Extras 2. I'm ok with it simply because some newbies don't know 
which image format they should be using for their programs.  If we 
see a .bmp we all automatically tell them to use .png instead.  
They also could be confused when they see the LOAD BITMAP command 
and think Darkbasic only uses .bmps.

Extras 3. I'd like to see thumbnails too... it's always better to 
get a quick preview before loading images to another tab.

Extras 4. I'm happy with the form moderation.  On many sites the 
mods act like their gods and use their power for evil.  Here 
they're all down to Earth and very fair.

Extras 5. As Thraxas said there is a limit.  If you see any that
are too big tell a mod.  I see signatures all the time that state 
the signature was deleted by a mod.

Extras 6. Yeah that's annoying... there are several times I'd have
to change the picture I tried to link to because it was cut off 
and didn't work right.

Extras 7. I never understood that one.


I'd like to put my own request for code snips here... the ability 
to quickly copy everything that's in the code snip.  Like a little 
picture of a page by the clickable code snip box.  Click the 
picture (without even opening the code snip) and it copies the 
code snip into the clipboard.

I'd also like to see the ability to upload many files at once 
instead of one per message.
