Most people don't wear full body armor, in fact I've never seen anyone play that way. Just get a full camo outfit and a paintball mask and you'll be set.

You don't wear armor in Airsoft... Just long sleeved clothing and a paintball mask so you can tell when you've been hit.

I found a full halo armour set that you can use for this. It's more for looks though not really for fun. It's gonna be fun!

armor in airsoft just gets bulky and annoying. all you need is a paintball mask (and NOT one of those cheap airsoft goggles. when i was wearing one of those, i got shot up the nose by a gas ruger at 430 fps because the goggles only protect your eyes. then i bought a paintball mask )

Full body armor suit for air soft? Seriously? My cousin and I used to play with just a t-shirt and swimsuit or shorts on so we could jump in the pool afterwards, I think full body armor is way overkill, it really doesn't hurt that badly (or at all).

Now, paintball is a different story.

Where I went with workmates a while ago, they had a 5m rule. If someone is less than 5m away, you can't shoot them - assuming they surrender and don't keep coming at you.

If they keep coming at you... let loose.

You don't want to be wearing a full heavy ballistic vest in Airsoft. This would be too expensive. However, you can buy just the cover (i.e. Without the Ceramic plates inside) for a low price if you just want to go for that tactical look or something.

Wus, Grow some skin lol

I use a 420fps single shot rifle with .20g bullets and only impact googles and the nearest shirt i found that mourning.

After the fight i normally remove stray bullets from shoulders/ arms/legs/stomach ect with a toothpick.

great fun though. Still need a P90 -_-

You guys won't understand... When I mean armor I'm talking about jury rigging the armor ( somehow ) to sense where it has been hit, then lock in place to simulate battle wounds... I may be mistaken but the nearest shirt that you find that morning won't do that... and it protects AND simulates army style body armor so you can train ( kids ) and mess around like the future army style body will be. And I guess it will make it really intense casue you don't have to worry about sending the other ppl to the hospital because you shot to low.

That's just absurd. Part of the thrill is the risk of being shot. I'm speaking more from my experiences with paintball, but if I couldn't feel the impact of a shot landed on me, I have no reason to play carefully or tactfully. I may as well play bloody laser tag. You can't train kids to think militarily if they don't play with an appropriate level of danger or threat. If anything, that'll just do the opposite. They'll be running about thinking it's laser tag, going rambow on everything that moves. Do that on a real battlefield and you'll be dead in a flash.

Playing as a team is everything. Flanking is normally the best option but in 12v12 matchs is quite hard since a few unlucky men (normally me) have to keep thier attention while the others make thier way round.

I normally play in wooded areas so cover is easy to come by, the area is hilly so i can grab good rifle spots to hide out in. Camo nets are not usually allowed as the last person was shot the face, i was told it was his fault the idiot.

To train as a soldier without pain, is to be a lifeguard without swimming. You cant train someone for something without them having first hand experience. A lifeguard trainer gives his students hypothermea so they understand what it is. (it is an old practice) These are wargames but they still need some realism.

Thanks for the opponions. I know it was ridiculus now and the part apart you can't train a soldier without pain is a good saying. But I still want the helmets so they can't see where your looking, and the walkie talkie/vid taping matches or parts.
