i unfortunatly recieved a blue screen error yesterday, when it appeared i did the typical idiot thing to do which was hit the power button and started to fall into a sea of depression as i have only had my alienawre for a few months and had never seen one of these (on my own computer)i felt very worried. im running vista 64bit and the error mentioned something to do with "memory" and "dumping" i think. what i really want to know is is this the end of the my computer or will it just blow over and not die in a month. now i am familliar with computers and can handle the average break down but a blue screen is something im not comfortable with because the only other computer i have ever seen this on first hand was a friends computer which recieved a blue screen then about a month later broke. i know that these errors can occur when your machine overheats and what i really want to hear is that i have just been leaving it on for way to long. please all i really want is some advise or information that an average person can understand, i'd be greatful for any information, thank you.

It's far more likely that the blue screen is down to a badly written device driver, or part of Vista-64 crashing itself. If it happens intermittently but quite often, then it could be a hardware fault - but if it's just a once off, or even just every couple of weeks then I wouldn't be too concerned.

Next time, if there is a next time, write down that number at the bottom of the screen and do a google search for it. You'll often find a reasonable explanation for these error codes - even posting the error codes here would let someone look it up and offer some advice.
