!

This is awesome. Daggerfall totally rocks and I was looking at buying it from somewhere.

Bethesda ftw!

FYI: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/index.html?curid=2942317

Quote: "Daggerfall is the largest Elder Scrolls game to date, featuring a game world estimated as being 161,600 square kilometres (62,394 square miles or 40,400,000 acres) with over 15,000 towns, cities, villages, and dungeons for the player's character to explore."

Nice find tatts.

Good job! Daggerfall kept me busy for many, many, many hours. I loved being able to climb things and run backwards killing the guards and stealing their stuff.

Lol, it is just like my sister paying $50 for Anime Studio 5 which was given away free for a little while.

The same thing happened with trueSpace. I got an old version (which, ironically, was also around $50) and then they released the newest one for free! Talk about back luck.

Wow. This post hasn't been made yet? I downloaded it the day it was put up. :/

I think their servers for it are over-loaded (they were the day of, at least). I download it at 3Kbps.

I also had trouble getting it to work in DOSBox. Wasn't worth it, I regret to say.

After agreeing to the terms, it says it will start downloading in 5 seconds, but it doesn't then it says, if it doesn't start, click here, and then I get "404 - Not Found"...

I can't download either for some reason - I just get "Please consult our privacy policy" and a blank page. I wasn't even asked for my D.O.B

why on earth would you complain if the game was bought years ago?

I bought gamespace and paid 300 for it. Even though they released truespace free... I still do not regret my purchase. A lot of software has become freeware over the years... just to mention some. Gile's / Truespace / character fx / bryce 5.5 / blue gui ...ect. Once people stop buying a lot of software becomes freeware, sometimes because they just give up on the sales and/ or maybe to promote other newer games or software being introduced. So should you regret your purchase? No, because you still had the advantage and joy of playing with them years before they even consider them as freeware. Now what would ruffle my feathers is for example...... Truespace,, the caligari corp was selling V-ray for 3 or 400 can't remember exactly. but anyway with the last update released... V-ray is no longer supported and the previous versions had a lot of bugs with it. so needless to say that all those who have purchased the program in the end ended up with software that is more or less useless.

Anyway I havent installed DaggerFall yet but looking forward to it..

As for why some are not able to d/l.. maybe they have a cap on d/l per day? and you must be 18+ to d/l.. probably 17 but i say 18 just in case..or maybe it is not available for d/l in your region could be any reason, just try another day.

Ot isn't listed anywhere on Bethesda's D/L page.

If you're having serious problems getting it from their site, try the torrent copy of it. (Mods, if I'm not allowed to post this link, please just edit this post, but it's just the freely-released file in torrent form)

I have a question. Does anyone know of a way to remove the nudity from it. Because I don't care for nudity, and don't really want to have it in the game. If there is no way to remove it no big deal.

There's enough to warrant asking?

But if you're serious about it, check this page out.

I downloaded this a bit ago, and could not figure out how to get it to work. I tried dos box, but frankly found it confusing. Their site didn't really have instructions (though I could have missed them), so I guess I'm not going to be wasting my time on this.

Actually, we'll probably just get Battlespire for free on the 20th aniversary. Then, on the 25th, we'll get Redguard. And then on the 30th Morrowind, 35th Oblivon, 40th the next game in the series, etc.

And there isn't THAT much nudity in it. Just some occasional breasts.

I'm pretty sure they're not going to wait 15 years to release Oblivion for free. That's obnoxious.
