Anyone know what the currently best card is which still has a relatively small physical size? I'm just curious. All these new Geforce 200 series cards take up two slots and are massively long. I recently put in a new 9500GT for my gf and was shocked at how small it was, smaller than my own 8600. Technically, I think it was the smallest graphics card I've ever installed, aside from an old S3.

So far, all the 200-series I've seen require two slots (on the case, not pci slots) and about half of them come overclocked. I don't need the added heat for an extra 10mhz.

Is there a huge difference between a 9800gt and a gtx 260 or greater? I'm researching it all now, but if anyone has a few quick tips I'm listening.

If you think modern graphics cards are oversized, think again.

I thought the size of modern cards was rediculous. Until I saw the Hercules.

30cm is pretty much the same as some of today's long cards. I know the 9800GT is about ~23cm in length, and there are certainly some cards longer than that (GTX 280 is ~26cm is length, for example)
