Hi guys, i've been wanting to make a forum, but im not sure what people want. I was thinking of something like a role playing game forum, like maybe a ww2 RPG sort of game? Well tell me any ideas you have, because i think that a ww2 rpg on the net would be new and fresh.

Is this supposed to be a game you're planning on developing?

like a forum game, you know online where you fight with and against other WW2 goers, if you played mafia wars, something similar to that, but in a ww2 setting and most likely played on a forum

Do you have any internet coding experience at all? It's not easy, I'll tell you that much... Maybe you should develop the idea first, develop the technical side on paper, and go from there.

rpg forum's based on popular anime's get popular pretty quick if you market it right.

I suggest not making a forum game as people go for MMOs these days over text adventures.

I also would like to add that WW2 ended therefore the game surely can't last forever. (Other RPGs generally can be idealised as lasting a long time.)

Also, aren't WW2 games getting a bit old now? (They're hardly, "fresh" anymore...) :S

well ww2 lasted about 6 years, so a game that i can stretch out to 6 years seems ideal But i know what you mean. I havent seen a ww2 RPG at all, like you know, a ww2 game where you collect items, level skills, do "quests" and have a deep engaging story line. So im thinking of writing a 3d game like that, in dgdk
