Yesterday I posted a thread in Code Snippets about achieving global rotation on objects. I just went to check any updates on it, and it's gone missing. I clicked on 'My Threads' in the combo-box at the top, and it's still missing.

Why was it deleted?

Thanks

The moderators will delete any thread in Code Snippets that doesn't have the [DBP]/[DBC] prefix.

It's that odd situation in which the name still appears on the board list...

Seems now it's back and re-named. Perhaps renaming makes it disappear for a while... or something.

More to the point, why did THIS thread open in a new window when I clicked on it?

The mods never delete threads, they hide them.

I found this in the past when trying to access a deleted thread using its full URL. You get a thread is hidden message.

Code Snippets do get deleted if not marked up correctly. It was too difficult to moderate because nobody read and adhered to the stickies. The only other solution was to be ruthless to keep it manageable.
