I saw it last night. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did (the commercials had me expecting a Fallout-style film ). The beginning was slow, but I don't think the movie would have been half as good without it. It really set the stage, started character development off on the right foot, and kept it from feeling "silly" like most alien movies. The CGI was absolutely wonderful. As Jeku said, the fake and real have never blended in so well. Normally, it's easy to tell which is which, but I had difficulty this time around.

Overall, 4/5. I've never liked a far-fetched movie that tries to seem real before.

Just finished whatching it And what can i say other then peter Jackson is a geniues first lord of the rings now this!!

Wonder if there will be a district 10 movie?

Jackson was only the producer. It was Blompkamp who "made" the film.

I thought it was brilliant. My favourite game was spotting things that hadn't been rewritten all that much from when it was Halo.

#1 being when Master Chief and Arbiter were escaping in the Warthog...

I can't believe how touchy people are these days, just because you don't like someone's accent doesn't make you racist.
I don't believe MIDN90 would treat the person in question any worse if he met them in person just because of their voice.
It's like when a foreign person calls your phone, I can't understand a word they're saying, does that make me racist?
