What do you think of this new MMO?
I think it looks amazing!
I have purchased the collectors edition off steam and have been playing the beta for a while, and I have to say I'm impressed. The graphics are quite nice for a MMO, better than anything I've played. Using a highly modified version of the CryEngine.
Honestly, it is simply .... stunning.
Heres the main website: http://www.aiononline.com/
And here is the review that made me buy the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMhmMnXG57A

Who else has had the good fortune to play it?

(btw, by all means, do not mention Aion on the WoW forums, people got banned the last time it happened)
(Please no WoW vs Aion fights please )

I've been looking at this... Does it have a subscription or micro-transaction model for payment.

I enjoyed WoW but didn't play enough to justify paying each month. I've been enjoying Guild Wars simply because I can leave it for a week or so and not be upset that I'm wasting money paying for something I'm not playing.

EDIT

Just checked the site and it's $15/month... It looks good but I won't be playing.

But you can also buy time, in hours. You can do subscription like WoW (cheaper) but I plan on buying hours. I think it was 400 hours for 23 bucks or something. When you think about it, its quite a lot.
Lucky I got my 2 months and a bit free

I really like how you can buy hours, but until a trial is out I'm not gonna buy it.

The art style is horrible.

I'm not a huge fan of the art style, but I really like the detailed customization. I always thought WoW lacked in the ability to customize your char.

Also love the pay system. Wish WoW would offer a similar system aswell, I don't play WoW enough to warrant the monthly fee.

I pre-ordered this today. And guess what... PlayNC's silly billing system requires you to set up a subscription/payment for the account when it goes live to access the Betas. Kinda lame, but that's just how PlayNC works... I mean they made people pay 5 bucks to play a silly 2 day beta of their Guild Wars expansions. Oh well, since I've been awaiting this I don't really care though. Just means I have to do an other trip to the store for a paysafe card.

this looks like a FFXI remake... and FFXI was terrible imo.
