Thanks for all the great responses! It's great to see you guys again.

This model is already for free at Max-Realms.Com, but free is for non-commercial use and the texture is small. The commercial use version has a 2048x2048 texture (as they all do), plus you can get the PSD files as well to make it truly unique for your game. This particular one is already for sale as an individual model for $2, but when combined in the pack, each model will work out to be around $1. The pack will have 14 models by the way.

I'll keep you guys updated.

Cheers

@Silvester: Thanks!

@Tanya: Great to see you, too! I spend most of my online time at Max-Realms.Com these days. I have a game related forum on iongfx.com, but we've got our main project on hold while the vehicle physics code is built.

I'll be around here for a while. Now that I've taught myself how to properly UV Unwrap and create textures, I'm most happy making game models.

Thanks Chris, Tanya, Jamie and everyone! I do remember you Hockey Kid and Adrian, I've seen a lot of your posts around here. Is that your original forum nickname?

It's nice to be back among the insane again.

Here are some wires as requested:

Bunkbeds

Generator

Chest

Chair

Desk

I'm just kinda modeling these things as my own needs arise, but if any of you have a request for this pack, let me know and I'll do it if I can. Thanks again.

Look on the right-hand side of the screen under the New Models listing. The chair, bed, generator and desk are all listed 2-5. Those are free versions though. These are commercial versions.

Thanks, Priske I appreciate the feedback.

I didn't get much time today, so I started some of the furniture pieces. I only got the coffee table modeled, unwrapped and textured. The main texture is "dirty", but the PSD has "clean" and "dirty with graffiti". Here's one in 3ds Max and some in the game engine:

table textures are very well done.

Might be fun to do a Destroyed version of the table. IE the table split in half

@Zay333: Thanks and you'll see at least 9 more in this pack, but plenty more after that.

@Cheese Cake: Thanks man! Sure the chest *could* be just a box, but I wanted this one to have a definite look and feel that couldn't be achieved with texturing alone. Thanks for the input.

@Chupa: Hey man! Thanks and it's very nice to be back with you guys again. Thanks for the at MR, too.

@Priske: Hmm, interesting thought. I'll break it and see if I can get it to look non-cheesy.

S4real and Me were wondering how you were doing awhile back, we always used Dark Cheyenne to test his latest mod, and we both somehow lost it or deleted by accident at one point and went back to download it from FPS Games and were bummed when it was gone, been at MR today checking out your site and looks nice.

And why don't you put them in your own site.

I love your models.

And I already downloaded all of your packs except one.

And a question :
What is the texture size of free ones?

@Cyborg ART: You changed your name! Thanks man.

@Inspire: Of course it was your fault, you little bugger. J/K, nice to see you again and thanks.

@Puppy: Cool thanks for the link man. I'll check it out when I get off work today.

@Have our guns:

I'm not sure what you mean. They are on my own site.

And thanks, I'm very pleased that you like my models. Which packs did you download? The free version of the Generator and Bunk Beds are half of the original sizes, so that's 1024x1024 and 512x512 respectively. However, the subsequent free versions are not uv unwrapped and have procedural textures. The get the materials of these versions to a single texture sheet either render-to-texture a complete map or simply get the commercial versions. You have to get the commercial version to sell your game anyway.

Try an attempt living among them that call themselves FPSBanana.

Then you'll really know what insanity is compared to TGC.
I could go on for hours explaining the problems with the site and the community with every single word in the oxford dictionary.

It looks okay, but now looking at the wireframes, OMG, why at some points of your model, where you just need almost just 1 poly you got around 100.

Try after you finished your model. (i do it while modeling) Looking at your wireframe, and work out some polys that are not needed.

While modeling characters that will be done quite differet, i guess everyone has his different methodes.

Actually, the Wires look pretty good IMO, i dont see any poly that is not needed, sure he has added in a lot of detail, but each poly seems to have a purpose

@Conjured Entertainment: Thanks buddy. Nice to be here.

@Red Eye: The only model that I feel has "extra" polygons is the chair. As for the rest of them, I don't do traditional "low" poly, I do more medium poly for next-gen. I think the days for low poly are about over so I consider my models Medium poly at most. They can be used in a game or in arch viz without modificiation, so they have dual purpose. The stock models that come with FPSC are really TOO low poly in most cases. But that's just my opinion of course. I will keep modeling with a fair balance between "extra" polygons and texture details so that we moving toward next-generation and dragging FPSC X9 with it.

@Asteric: Thanks. As I just said, I model with a bit more polygonal detail these days because we need to force the engines' optimizations, not limit the artists' creations. Again, there is a fine line to balance between extra detail in geometry vs. extra detail in textures. I go for both.
