If someone would create a UV map for this guy, I'ld gladly texture him. Hoppefully I be getting Photoshop 7 soon (as long as I'm not out bidded ) so I'll really love to try out some new stuff with it.

Well I wonder what happend here, it seam we ran into some serious communitaction problems, hopefully we can put this behind us. Now that the real model has shown up maybe we can contenue the this thread, care to post the model stats, Windtech?

Ok.. i think i know what happened... the export to 3ds had to screw the model a bit... and then from 3ds to ms3d....models have limits..

I haven't seen the *.Lwo file yet... but from that screen, it looks a lot better then the model i had recivied.

the uvmap wasn't the best uv map ever.. the use of dark colors on a uv map is not the most recomended thing.. lol

there were also a few inconsistencys to the model i saw and the uv map that i had noticed, i am going to now look for that uv map to show it..

But in the end, the biggest trouble so far seems to be the exportation of different model types.. but then again thats only my guess.

Windtech could do it in Lightwave. I UV'ed my Elfs in LW. The tools are second to none.

The Texture is the hotspot. Good Texture, and I could care less about no jaw bones!

i like the uv tools in lightwave.. i like them more then Ultimate Unwrap 3d (shareware and updtaed lithunwrap).

Basiclly there has been a few mistakes on all sides.. and once all side fix themselves.. all will be nice.

PS( i edited my above message)

Yea, I really like the XSI UV tools, can't afford the program, but I like it
On top of that, I found the softimage products more tedious than i would like. That and I've been working with lightwave for quite some time now ;p

do you really think I can afford Softimage,I use the free Exp version which is just as great since there's no limitations except for the xport, there's none.

I can't even afford Lightwave which is way outta my tag 1500$ plus 5000$ License that's alot of money for a hobbyist, plus, seeing most C4d,Lightwave and Maya users prefer modeling in Wings3D,I don't see the need for a high end renderer.

Softimage is easier than what most people think, just don't expect a 'cluttered with options' interface and beautiful lil kiddy drawing icon tabs,it's a pure non-linear modeling/animation/rendering application.

Yellow - You cant say that there is nothing going on with ED, as there is much more than any of you will ever know (besides Andy) going on behind the scenes.

@all

I approved Arrows concept art, as Brent has now stated, it looks fine.

Mitch, your model is great.

DarkCoderUK did a great UV, but I guess Eric is redoing it.

I screwed it up with my sucky texture. I thought it would be better to push something out, but I guess I did more harm then help. Lets hope Erics version is much better than mine.
