Bmac owns, thread closed.

Hey guys, I need help. I cannot manage to get seperate blank county maps. I don't suppose you know where I could find some for California? If not, I need some master of photoshop to extract the counties from http://tinyurl.com/ngcgqu.

This is a rather massive request. I'd appreciate it if you could simply put "Takes too long" or something, to let me know it's a ridiculous request.

The counties I need are:
Las Angeles
San DIego
Orange
Riverside
San Bernardino
Santa Clara
Alameda
Sacramento
Contra Costa

A labeled map of the counties can be found here: http://www.csac.counties.org/default.asp?id=6

Time is money. I just ripped you off.

Wait what? This seems like it would be easy to do in MS paint... Just use the lasso tool and copy and paste em...

It's even easier in GIMP or PS, as you can just select each one with the Magic Wand/Color Selector, copy & paste, and save.

i like orange

I'll have a go. What's it for?

EDIT: By the way, the fact that you have a Mac doesn't change anything

I can get photoshop for mac... Lol. Will get that

Thank you so much BmacZero!

It's for a school assignment, we're supposed to make thematic maps. The odd part is, we aren't supposed to make the maps, and I couldn't find them online.

@Irojo:

Why did you get a Mac if you thought you could get almost nothing for it? (No, not a Windows fanboy )
Macs are quite powerful, although I use Windows which is strong thanks to it's MASSIVE userbase!

For those few things it works with, it is the perfect computer. No viruses, very very rarely crashes, etc. It's just easy to use.

Where did you get that idea? Macs do indeed have viruses.

They just can't spread well because they haven't achieved critical mass market share yet. Which I'd say is about 45%.

Not to mention the backwards compatability which OS X does not have introduces all manner of complexities and bugs that actually have to be kept consistent if the vast majority of software from previous generations is to run.

Oh Mac can get a virus just like Windows, it's just less frequent. Now that Mac and Windows share the same architecture, I think we might start seeing more infections.

I doubt that the PowerPC Macs had few viruses because they were PowerPC. At the end of the day, the problems stem from the fact that it's incredibly easy to make mistakes in Objective/C/++ and until computers get so powerful that they don't need the speed of Objective/C/++ there are always going to be security flaws.

Of course they can get viruses, but it's very, very rare.
