Ok, I FINNALLY got ChickHen R2(a homebrew enalbler for firmware 5.03..) For Psp to Run, and I ve gotten some home-brew downloaded and running. Played a couple games, and a thought crossed my mind. What if I could develop my own apps/games for the Psp? Then I googled Several SDK's for psp, but none of them are......what i need. Let me explain.

Ok, so i'm kinnda doing it behind my dads back, cuz he hates when I go and do stuff like this(Once I had homebrew apps all over my NDS, LOL. ), But this is something i've gotta try. So, The SDK's I DID find require.....Forever to download. I kinnda need something "quick", like say a 5 minite download and no more time to install. Heck, I'll learn C++ From my dad anyhoo(C+ Is the langauge, from my small understanding, and you need a speshal compiler to turn ur program into an EBOOT, Right?), So learning the langauge is no Prob. Any body know of a small sdk for the Psp? Thanks to anyone whom may reply....Its much appreciated.

Cheers,
-DD

I'm not sure if anyone on the forum really develops for the PSP, at least nobody too regular - but really I think your best bet is to tackle some C++ first, learn how the SDK's slot in - then explain to your dad that you'd like to program for the PSP and get him involved.

There are no quick options really, the biggest SDK downloads probably have the most usefull documentation and examples, being patient and downloading the best supported SDK outweighs any benefit in using a smaller package. I mean you might have to download additional files anyway, like .NET or other frameworks (SDL for example). Anyhoo, if your dad can teach you C++, get stuck into that first, then things will be much clearer when you come to start on the PSP.

I sometimes make flash games for the psp. But they all suck because the PSP sucks with flash. I have always wanted to make a psp game but I thought it would just be a waste of time.

Hi, it’s Robert with Stealthmod! You’ll be saying Stealth every time you use this mod! It’s like CoD! It’s like L4D! It’s like BioShock. A regular mod doesn’t work good – this works good and great.

The PSP homebrew scene...I have a PSP but my parents don't want me to have custom firmware because they think PSP homebrew is phony crap that will damage your system, what the heck? Although you can brick your PSP from doing something stupid or messing up.

There are 2 ways to develop for the N64:
1. Develop C code with PsyQ SDK and illegal Nintendo libs
2. Develop C code with legal kits, such as the Ground Zero devkit (g0dev.zip)
