Killbox presents...

Solace...

Story:
In the year 2017 the world had pretty much lost hope. Many wars were waging, and alliances were few. The natural resources that helped fuel the world and steady the economy were dwindling. Many people were starving and the world was slowly dying. People joined together to hunt and gather food, laws were useless because no one would abide by them. As was predicted by many, the world ended in a nuclear war. People were gathered into ships and sent off to space until another livable environment was discovered. While many did survive, there were new dangers. The cover-ups were true, and there was other intelligent life in the galaxy, there wasn’t peace between the races. Humans also faced the danger of starving or running out of fuel and being lost in space. These things were necessities, and when the creatures refused to help, humans decide to invade their planets. Each ship held thousands of people and all were their own community. Some ships refused to fight, and attempted to ally the creatures. The problem was, earth was not the only planet that had been running low on resources. The other planets had also run out, and chaos had broken loose throughout the galaxy.

Sweet! I like the story as well...

I've had issues with the KillBox forum..in that I couldn't remember the link. I'll get right onto any scripting requests you have...

ill keep it hosted if you want, I just seen your original site and though I spice it up for you. You can change your .tk domain to http://traynor1987.com/killbox/index.htm if you want!

Let me know if you want anything added or changed!

Bump! Here is the first custom character in the game. I modeled it, and Cosmic Prophet fixed some stuff up and textures it.

P.S. Expect a development shot soon.

Well I plan I using a full mask hud. Also, post anything like this in the Killbox forums.

Your entity placement looks good, but the segment that you chose seems to suck in the light, and still make it look really flat and undefined. I think if you added a bit more detail to the texture for the segments, the lighting will highlight those, giving more dimension to the walls. That's just my opinion. Hope it helps.

Thanks for your opinion, I don't plan on making the rooms overly crowded, it is not the style we are going for. But I will take your comment into consideration. I don't have any mods yet, but I will post on the Killbox forum if we decide to.

im rather interessted, i thouoght the aliens didn't look very good in the 3d program but in fpsc they looked great.
don't worry just beacuse no one posts in a day doesn't mean that no one is interested.

i'd also recommend using some different segments they kinda look a bit like cotton wool, no offence intended.

The pistol animations are a bit choppy, but they're way better than anything I can do. Keep this project up darmic.

Thanks, and the animations aren't really choppy, it's just the way my screen recorder recorded them... It only records up to 24fps... And this ran at 32-38fps.

I like all the custom media mixed in - it made a great scifi-ish environment. Nice job.

I've seen it all. Except for myself ever not failing at something.
