Hi well I have been working on this game on my own and with quite a bit of help for a few years now and it still isn't finished, I have decided to put a test level up on here so if anyone wants to get involved and can help me can see how the game will be .

The controls are, WASD to control the player in the third person and WS in the 1st, WASD or the arrow keys for the hovercraft tank to move and straffe, space bar for it to jump, numberpad keys 2,4,6, and 8 to look around. If you have a H.O.T.A.S stick, rudder controls to straffe, throttle to go forward and backward, joystick to turn left and right, P.O.V or hatstick to look around.

For the aircraft the same except that Q and E keys are for the rudders , and so is delete and home and if using a H.O.T.A.S stick the space/aircraft doesn't straffe with the rudder controls only rotates left and right. the Mouse turns both the plane and the hovercraft tank(though not at the same time of course only when you are in the vehicles) to exit the vehicle press the x key,to enter the vehicles just get close to them. To change views fr all modes(player, in Tank, or in Aircraft ) press 1 for third person view and press 2 for first person view.

If you would like to help me with this game please get in touch with me on here and I will give you my email address. Of course there are a lot of things I m unhappy with and need help with
1) The player avatar doesn't straffe in the 1st person
2) The Player avatar dosen't get out of the vehicles in the 1st person, always have to press the first person button to get it back into the 1st person
3) the player doesn't always stay on the ground have to restart the level sometimes to get that to work properly.

If you can help with these things please get in touch, I like the controls as they are so they do not need any work on. Thank you

Nice screenshots, even if not the best compression-wise. You've got a tester.

Oh, and by the way mediafire hosts indefinitely and doesn't make you wait. Just something to consider.

I tested it and was shocked by its um... Uniqueness. If you post the source code I could make a lot of improvements. Actually, my main criticism is the "auto-walk" feature. If you give me a chance with it, you won't be disappointed.

Actually if you have a H.O.T.A.S Joystick and you have the throttle at full then she will walk forward so at the moment I would rather you don't touch that unless she just autowalks with out any control input which she should not be able to do at least in the level I have on my PC anyway I will still send the source code though

You can just post the source here. I'm sure there would be tons of people willing to fix things up. About the joystick- if it has angular feedback, why not use that as a replacement for the mouse instead of the WASD controls? What I mean is that DarkBASIC has support for digital joypad input, so you could also check for JOYSTICK UP() or something to add to your keystate() and/or upkey(), you know? Just post the source and I'll add some stuff like that, fix your debug text, and retexture your models.

No, I don't want that sorry, I have joystick up for pitching upwards in the aircraft/spacecraft and I like it that way, nice to have that for the player too, I want the joystick throttle to control forward/backward movements, rudder control for straffing thats for the player and hovercraft and for rotating left and right, that would be for the air/spacecraft
Ok I will put the source code up but you will need your own models,(hence the zip I was going to give you the link to)

Also getting a strange bug, everything runs ok until I change something then I get a stupid "object range is within 1- 65000" like I now have it that the plane straffes left to right using buttons 17 and 17 on my Saitek X36 USB and now I get this silly error where I wasn't getting one before when I go to switch into the 1st person view

OK, quick update- I fixed one tiny little piece of debug text, replaced the missing textures, replaced all of your REMs with the character on the tidal key, made some small improvements here and there, and retextured "babe" with an equally revealing, silver outfit (with "details"). Right now, I'm about to try and fix the jet going through the ground, and the autowalk problem.

OK fine but one thing , if you don't have a HOTAS joystick and you don't know how to program the flying and hovercraft controls for it , please leave it, I will sort any problems unless it gets too much for me on that, I have had already had a bit of a bad experience with that Also er not really sure I want all the rems replaced with the tilde key but I guess as long as it works I am not too bothered about that, and also any other details or problems think it might be best if you email me at the email address I gave in this thread, thanks anyway Brick Break your help is very much appreciated

Thanks, vampyre! I still haven't gotten around to doing the stuff I promised in the last post, though. (I was making models for a certain "MMORPG" you may have heard of. ) The underground jet should be a quick fix, though. Once I take care of that, I'll send the whole thing to you via email.
