I've seen this realm crafter. Sounds pretty interesting. Don't know if it's as eary as FPSC but I think it's easy.

Search for "RPG Mod" for the FPSC. There cannot be any real easy way to create a RPG. It requires a certain amount of setup. However, the mod uses the same scripting principles as the stock FPSC does.

I am just about ready to upload the EXE file as well as an FPI EditPad update to handle the RPG mod.

Isn't Realm Crafter only for MMORPGS? Anyways, if you search the forums for scripts or the RPG MOD, FPSC should work well

Funny how no one mentioned RPG Maker yet... Although that's 2D. There's no Drag&Drop 3D RPG Engine, mainly because RPG's usually have very complex game and scripting elements behind them. You could have an editor, but you'd still need to program/script the entire game besides the basic features such as moving around. Unless you want a boring generic RPG like a million others that is. Then again FPSC makes pretty standard FPS games as well... So I guess people aren't too picky on here.

RPGs, like Silvester are quite complex - also there's no 1 standard style for RPGs, so it's a lot more difficult to create an affordable 3DRPGMaker like you'd have an affordable FPSCreator.

I've had a lot of difficulty in coding my own RPG in 3D, so my advice, if you want an easier solution, go 2D and there are great tools for that. RPGMaker has all of the elements there:

Alternatively, The Games Factory 2 is a great 2D tool - it's script editor is visual, so you don't need to learn any codes and it's not too difficult to get the hang of - it gives you more freedom than RPGMaker as it's flexible and designed to make any 2D games, but you have to learn more. And something I've been playing with in secret in TGF2:

I used to use RPG Toolkit before it became open source and freeware.

It's much better now than when I used it.
