Right now there's a sale on the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 on www.dell.com, $199! Just ordered one.

I didn't order it just because it's an awesome deal, though. I need one for college and was already looking.

These things are so small and light it's awesome! I'm getting it because of that, and also for fast internet and note taking in class.

Looks a lot like my brothers Acer Aspire One netbook.

They are actually incredibly impressive little machines, once you get XP on them at least, if they come with Linux. It can play GTA:SA, Warcraft, Half Life, BF1942 etc - surprisingly well. Do not discount these little things if you are looking for a neat laptop, they are plenty capable as long as you don't expect the world from them.

Very similar design I think, just as well laid out and designed as a standard laptop, just teeny that's all.

As predictable, we're paying more than you before currency conversion. This comes to nearly $380. God, I hate this country.

(why is the 9 more expensive than the 10?)

Something else I found:

It would seem that Ubuntu constitutes a slower processor even when the processor remains identical(!)

From reading the Mini 9 appears to be able to run a hackintosh quite well! Just thought I would note that random fact!

Considering Dell is starting to offer Ubuntu 9.04 on their netbooks and starting to offer it on their Desktops, and Dell has been defending Linux for a while now, I don't think they meant to imply anything by that.

Tell me, do any of you ever experience delays when ordering from Dell online?

Nex, the screen is bigger than the other.

Wait, what? it should be the other way right? Right?
