About a month ago, while playing CoD5 with Zeus, he came around a corner and popped out in front of me shooting like a lunatic. It scared me so bad that I started falling out of the stool I had to sit on because my controller was running out of battery life. I had to charge it using the extremely short USB cord that had no chance of reaching the couch. While I was losing my balance on the stool, I was trying to steady myself and keep the USB attached to the PS3 without jerking it onto the floor. So to prevent this, I thought it would be a good idea to sit on one butt-cheek and flail my arms as much as possible. Ultimately, I hit the ground with tremendous force in 20 seconds but felt no pain because I was laughing at myself too freakin' hard.

That was a, "Holy crap, do you know what just happened?! ROFLMAO!!!" moment. Plus it was like 4:30 in the morning...

Sometimes reading posts from Zeus or I will bring gut-wrenching laughter, drenched pants, and a full load of underwear.

I felt old when I read that. Older than usual. I would have to put my vote on that one too, or maybe that time 10 years ago when I played Albion and got stuck in a cave. I knew there was a monster inside that I probably wouldn't win a fight against, but it was dark and all my torches were used up. I only saw 2 meters ahead of me and those monster things are FAST. I played with a friend even and he relinquished his controls to me because he was too scared to continue.

Yeah, that one was inspired from the "sloth" scene in the movie Seven, and damn it still scared the heck out of me, I remember was playing late at night with headphones on. The hairs on the back of my neck were standing!

Yeah well when i watch it now it dosent seem that scary maybe its beacause i know what happends, anyways it shows how you can truly maximise the game expericene. The sounds the setting the lighting and the action was superb. i think it was brilliant.
its really a shame that i havent tried condemned 2 yet....

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem.

No specific moment as there are too many to mention. No game comes close to this for scares.

The end of the game "FEAR". The chopper scene...I was playing it in the dark as well. Had a "Grudge" feel to it!

Any moment where the game is dark, you don't have that great of a light source (flashlight) and it goes out... and there's zombies/aliens trying to attack you. I think I scream like a little girl every time.

There were some scary moments in Space Griffon VF9 for me, but I played it when I was really young. The first time that alien came out unexpectedly on the first map always made my hair stand on end.

Well, nothing in games can really scare me anymore but when I was little, the hand in the toilet in Majora's Mask scared me.

<possible spoiler>

FEAR 2 has quite a few moments. Too bad there's less horror for some time when you leave the Hospital.

</possible spoiler>

I want to play Condemned. I've heard so much good about it.

Very recently I started playing Bioshock (for the first time! shame on me) and there are several very good crapyourpants type scripted bits.

My favorite was one where I walked into a meat locker/freezer type thing where the whole room is completely fogged up, and then a splicer jumped into my face when I was least expecting it. I basically fell off my chair, but was pleasantly surprised to find that a game can still scare me I thought I had long been desensitized to that type of thing (doom 3 was a breeze).
